not at all. obviously aug is buffing us, I’m not an idiot lol
No. They do not belong in WoW.

a bard might work but we’d have to really reconsider how the bard would work.
i think it would be more of a rhythm based class with complex combos that people would end up macroing to avoid messing up.
they would use a combat instrument that deals sound damage and effects. the magic is complex word magic that gets stronger or is maintained by keeping up the song.
we can think of it a a channel but one that requires pressing notes.
it can use pre rendered songs that buff other party members but cant use any other song buffs/ debuffs while active.
for in the mean time combat it could have a bunch of dance moves. it’d be either a cloth or leather class. with dodge rating being its primary method of surviving. like, this thing could even dodge spell attacks, and ground effects if they kept pushing their dance ability+ movement direction.
they could also use their weapon as a melee INSTRAMENT and it could have some random off cord sounds on hit.
end of the day, this would be sort of like an Aug evoker, only it could also buff itself so its damage would be decent on paper with only like ~40% coming from other players. (10% per player in a 5 man group. as the buffs/ debuffs would be 10% tuned. idk which is better. 10% more damage done or enemies taking 10% more damage. )
maybe I heard it wrong then, idk.
I just know if they add more supports I’m quitting this game lol. Supports have no place in WoW
Because blizzard has such an amazing track record. Seriously dont take anything the dev’s say for face value wait for their actions
I’m fully waiting for them to make my main a support spec. the moment they do this game is dead meat to me
Cant really do “complex” combos when you have the gcd, you can literally set up bars in a way to press 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 ect and have your combo done correctly without issue.
Complexity comes from the procs in wow, not so much baseline combos. Can you weave in your procs while maintaining your rotation? kind of thinking
I really don’t see how a Bard fits thematically into these next three expansions.
Augs are WoW bards. Low dps. Buffs the party.
They actually do.
If I wanted to play bard, I’d play FFXIV. Leave supports out of WoW.
You realize people make threads keeping track of the lies spread by blizzard right? Do your own seach sometime, might break you out of those rose tinted glasses you have on
Druids need a fifth spec. Perhaps they can take something from warlocks…
I think rise of 5E is why new players are trying to turn everything into DnD where there’s no character restrictions because they want their character to be special snowflakemain character mary sue #2385646 and lose their minds when an NPC character doesn’t kiss the ground they walk on.
I fail to see how or why.
Hi I made a bard post highlighting style and ingame movement. Number one thing!! We cannot separate races by instruments, people will be up in arms. I def think a combination of aion and ffxiv bard with augmentation like spells for one spec would be for the best!
Anything is possible I guess. Supports might have been better received if we got more than 1 and not midway through an expansion though. Or maybe the split shouldn’t have been like 20:80 your dps:group dps (hyperbole)
Though with the current state of some specs and the lack of dedicated class devs of old maybe they should actually for once focus on what we have even if that’s the same answer we’ve been saying since dks released.
Blizzard says a lot of things about not doing X again due to reception and end up doing it again in the future.
bard would be fun, you could have a bow mage, a melee bard, and perhaps a healer. or maybe even as a spec for rogue
i was kinda thinking like Xbox or play station mortal combat etc
but basically, since its wow, 1223 would execute one thing and pushing 2222 in a row would do something else. 3213 is another combo.
basically, the order you push your rotation is what you get out of it. so prob a trigger to start making combos like “R” and then entering the combo code you want to trigger resulting in the effect.
you know, over complicated class design but to compensate, all the abilities would be on a 0.25 gcd so you could do, in theory, 4 actions inside the same window another class would get 1-2 actions depending on if you count the end of the gcd.
