Just throwing some ideas around with a couple friends in Disc and pretty much everyone is in agreement a Bard class would be absolutely amazing. I think it would probably have to be a hero class and open to all races but the musical instrument would change based on the race, IE goblins/gnomes would get electric guitars and keytars, BE’s and NE’s would get flutes or piccolos, Tauren and HM tauren would get drums, maybe even pandaren would also get some form of drum, Draenei would get a lute, humans and orcs would get trumpets, vulpera would get a triangle, and worgen would get bass.
Bard Tank Name: Maestro - Summons an astral projection under the control of the bard to tank and take damage for the group. Haste/Verse tank
Bard DPS (Ranged) Name: Acapella: Ranged bard class that both attacks with musical notes as well as projections to disorient and damage foes Crit/haste Ranged DPS
Bard healer Name: Symphonic: Ranged healer that soothes and cleanses the parties wounds and stresses. Haste/Mastery healer

Is it possible? Sure. Is it going to happen? More than likely no.
While I understand it is a popular thing that people want. Really I don’t understand why. It’s like a bad wish come true if they did happen.
Not everything in this game needs to be D&D based which isn’t even where some of the core mechanics for the game came from. Either way, they just sound terrible for the game.

Blizzard has stated they will not be making any more support specs/classes in the near to distant future due to augmentation being poorly received.

That’s another thing. They could just rework a lot of the specs we already have, but I still firmly believe WoW just doesn’t need supports. It was never designed with them in mind

If youd tanked any M+ you could realise that tanking with pets either impossible or big cheating.

Few want to play them. Supports work ok in organised groups, but not in pugs.
A profession that crafts musical instruments as trinkets, off-hands, and toys would be viable I think.

BM Hunters tank in content where everyone tanks,
becuase with pets positioning is nightmare and the damage which pets get is unbalanced.

My thing with supports is they have to be broken, or they will just not get played.

Yes.
Could also technically be made into a hunter spec as well if you wanna be lazy.
This, who wants to play a class where you cannot do anything solo and have to constantly rely on group to support.

I have seen nothing but aug evoker this season. No pres, like one or two devs, nothing but augs. Aug is the most dominant spec I can remember in recent years. Even tanking I can notice a difference.
You can literally out damage an aug as a healer.
