Op,I want to thank you for this break down of level gear
anything you do to get to ilvl 200 is considered “Being set” for life until the next raid/mythic + update comes. That’s my point of being happy. Anything higher is just a bonus at that point.
Funny you say that I told my guild if I hit 200 ilevel I wouldn’t care if I got any higher until new content came out
Don’t you mean the one’s who need their hand held by a guild and group?
Nothing would be wrong with LFR/LFG with the same exact raids and dungeons AND rewards, without having to commit to a particular guild or group. Nothing is wrong with doing content, free from the huge egos and dictators who feel they own it and want you to comply with their commands.
Lol I honestly can’t tell if you’re… pro or anti raid specific gear. The sarcasm may have gone right over my head … then again I’m very tired.
And oh man, imagine random Heroic finding. Yikes. I remember LFR Nzoth. It was horrible right until the very end of BFA.
That being said though, technically, any random can create a raid group and title it “PuG H Nathria - no xp required” and just literally press “Invite” for any and all applicants until they hit 20 or w/e. I’m sure if enough people did that, it would become a thing.
But I wouldn’t have gotten that item had I not done the WQ.
No 200 is mediocre. 210 is good and 220 is great. 225+ is god mode
You have an unusual definition of “most”.
how dare you try to make sense. I demand 250ilvl gear so I can afk in oribos and troll trade chat. Or on occasion gank unsuspecting low level toons so I feel good as a elite pvp player
200 is decent/good. Good enough to run keys, good enough to raid at a decent level.
That being said, I personally believe a fixation gearscore is counter-intuitive. I’ve seen some pretty horrible players at 210+ gearscores, seen really good players at 190 gearscores.
It isn’t so much what is “good”, it’s that you should always feel you can progress at whatever level of the game you are playing.
It sucks to hit a wall for anyone. They should have just left honor/conquest and justice/valor for upgrades and never changed it all around. People like to feel they can always progress - even if those upgrades take some work.
You should look at the 9.0.5 changes and get excited
They wouldn’t be “random” to themselves. It would work out. These Raids are not rocket science even “randoms” can figure it out. It just takes a little time and requires a little spoiler free learning, which is more fun. Let LFR/G match it up. So what if at first there are wipes.
nah it’s called worthless scaling to just slow you down just pointless sure i can get thru it but whats the point of scaling just to make it take longer, seems thats blizz’s answer to everything, slow you down is the fix. being seriously overgeared kind of negates the slowing down. it ain’t a player issue it’s a just beat on things longer hint wq’s so much slower to just waste time along with scaling, time gates everything.
i’m glad you love playing longer and longer and enjoy it.
To me it feels like 200 is a B while something around 210 is an A - or B +
B’s are still passing so you’re good
I don’t know whether the fools posting in this thread are being intentionally obtuse or are really that stupid.
WoW, or any MMO, is not about being at a particular power, at least not for anything other than a moment … the entire core of these games is progression of player power.
200 is a snapshot spot that will be good or was good for any particular player. But, its not good for any player if they can’t get there or they get stuck there.
That is until you see how big of a leap makes 200 from 215. And e en more from 200-222.
Is to much for too little ilevel. Even more if you take into account that some of thse contebt is competitive so you will need to suffer a lot of frustration because you will be useless a a mot of times because you are undergear
Depends on what you are aiming to do once you get it.
If you are like me and play current just long enough to go back and solo old stuff then I would say 200 is probably great gear.
Keeping in mind My highest guy is halfway through 58 and I still have’t done the pixies/spirits zone yet.
Oh for sure make it all q’able, that’s fine. As long as there’s literally no difference in mechanics, damage, and boss HP whatsoever between the randomly arranged Mythic raid and an organized one.
It would be a pretty interesting experiment!
