Based on what I’m seeing on my not yet 200 item level hunter who is doing casual lfr and low key at MOST content, 200 item level is great for a casual experience filled with low level keys, heroic dungeons, lfr, and probably normal raiding.
Include on that list layer 8 torghast and any solo stuff currently in the game.
The problem is that most people don’t get raid drops, and the heroic CN and Mythic 15 drops are 213 and 210, respectively. Most players are raising their item level purely but the Great Vault, or PvP. That’s incredibly pathetic design, but this is what they decided for Shadowlands.
No, this is the gear YOU get when YOU finally play the game and have fun, Mr. Classic Alt. I find that stuff ridiculously stressful and intense. Not fun at all.
Lol I’m not saying you need to do hard content. I get that people don’t want to push mythic raids, high mythic + or PvP. My point is though the ilvl variations are way too much and in reality there should be paths to 226 gear for all players.
The difference between rewards should be visual (transmogs are the only things that we keep from patch to patch or expansion to expansion) and really the only time those visuals matter for prestige is in the current expansion.
I see. But, maybe try to explain that a little better in your post, you easily came off as telling everyone that you have to do hard content to actually play the game and have fun.
