Ion says limit time items arent coming back

Swings flail around *

Yay more salt

I like the look of the Mage Tower flails  But uh, I have a confession to make. The ones that dropped in Zereth Mortis look better in my opinion :stuck_out_tongue:

omg future scarab lord blasterkrizzel ova heeyah!

if that makes you feel better about it, then i’m happy for you :revolving_hearts:

He also said being able to transmog into junk and common items (grey and white quality gear respectively) would be here by Dragonflight or earlier. And yet they came out and said recently that it won’t be here by Dragonflight.

They fixed the physics on flails with the prepatch. I wonder how long it will last until it becomes broken again.

“FOMO? What FOMO?”

o cool have to check out

Very simple: Because their word means nothing, they have disappointed the community on every possible level before and they do not honor the game time of their customers anyway. On top of that, the game suffers of lack of character and race fantasy with too many significant items being locked away, which would foster the inGame cultures better and the lack of heritage weapons and armors shows, that they do not care enough for this, which is why we have these issues.

These things doesn’t mean anything to me as a RPer. They a distracting, offer no value and are just gameplay achievements. Better bring updated mounts, more race/class titles and weapons/transmog out, which isn’t available yet.

Another fresh topic about the lack of class and race fantasy. Again, they really are bad at this. Such a simple request and yet they sleep on it for almost a decade.

Thats good to hear. He must have realized his mistake with the twitch drops. What a great guy

Yeah that key word “probably” is the key word here. Real easy to take this stance knowing you can always pivot away from it with your non committal safety net “probably” gives.

The old fabled “wall of no” explaining why classic was “probably” never going to happen is ample enough proof of that.

Bad. Ion’s response is disconnect from reality and is a reason many players stop playing.

There is nothing beneficial to the games health by removing items, especially items not obtained through challenges.

Considering Ion is a Scarab Lord, of course he would have that answer.

Removed items are bad for the game and cater only to a few self-important individuals. Furthermore these “exclusives” have allowed the proliferation of third party account sellers. Most Scarab Lords you see today, bought their accounts.

This is good news - it had what I assume initially was unintended consequences, where rather than reward players for completing a raid tier when it is current content, it simply provided guilds the incentives needed to earn gold by running players through that content.

I’ve never seen anyone with one of those mounts and been like, “oh, they completed a tough challenge.” It’s just, “oh, it’s likely you paid for a run through content.”

As soon as he’s out the door, they’ll be back.

They existed before him, they’ll exist after him.

This is a business decision. It’s a retention mechanism. Bringing any of the items promised to be gone back would completely destroy the retention effect.

So no, they’re not coming back.

There’s a couple of mounts I missed out on that I wish I had. I’m fine with this though.

They kind of are doing this with their Mythic+ rotation. Bringing back old dungeons. Just keep it on a seasonal rotation.

With the content lull we had in Shadowlands this game does need evergreen stuff.

To be fair, bringing old content and cycling it back into the current content stream is a bit different than never moving past a given season.

The way Nora worded it made it sound like Blizzard should just leave every season of the game to ever exist running simultaneously.

The Long Boi should of never been removed from the NPC you could buy it from …it was a BS move by Blizzard removing it…they never removed the Mighty Yak or Mammoth which at their time in game was a high end gold buy…the only reason why Blizzard removed the Long Boi was too boost Token sales to folks that were close to having 5 million to buy it…plain and simple…they lied about the removal reason.

The people who defend the Brutosaur removal by saying “It is still on the BMAH”, don’t understand that makes it effectively unobtainable. It has appeared a total of 2 times on EU and not once for NA on the BMAH since its removal from the vendor.

It needs to be reinstated at its original price back at the vendor.

Yep very true and the going price is 10 Million too…which is double what it cost when on the vendor.
