When you really look at this whole thing it’s kinda ridiculous. We have blizzard creating a system that most people didn’t ask for and then when folks invest in it and ask for changes they put there head in the sand and push forward.
Maybe its time that quite creating stuff players don’t want and really take the time to do what the player base does want.
Really? Because the only people who remind me of the selfish children from willy wonka are the ones who want to punish people who want to play the game optimally. I’ve offered to help multiple people from your cadre with running M+ and in general zero have taken me up on it. You seem to just want to attack people who want to play the game optimally. You could very easily make the choice to just pick your covenant and keep it that you wouldn’t rather have that and make the game worse for others is demonstrating a lack of self control on your part.

Blizz is trying new things, something they do every expansion. People loved artifact weps, they hated HoA, so one offs work well…this is the expansions to see what happens. People are judging things before its implemented…

How so? I know people who actually rp they literally rp walk through towns because it wouldn’t be proper to ride their horses through and run down pedestrians. They only take flights from the flightmaster. I know a dude who still has meat for his pet as a hunter ffs. Basically all you are saying is you lack the self control to make a choice and stick to it.
Seriously it’s a game it’s supposed to be fun if I wanted to play something that was going to piss me off and make me not want to play I would play spec ops which is intended to do that.
It’s a game, it’s supposed to be fun, not a soul searching quest of deep meaningful choice and sacrifice.
No you could RP the choice all you like but the very fact that you can change, Diminishes that value of choice. It’s something people have explained again and again and people just plug their ears and Roleplay they didn’t hear it.
Could be accurate. He is also a lawyer, so we know that he has no qualms with placing money before his values.
If Blizzard can’t impact the playerbase emotionally, then they’ve failed as game devs.

I’ve raided on this toon all my pvp cheevos are on this toon .
I should not have to choose what specific content I want to do based on things like covenants. I should be able to log into the game on this toon and go I am going to do BGs today and be optimal for them while doing them and the next day go I’m going to raid and be optimal for that.
Covenants should just be a cosmetic aspect for the rp aspect of the game and not have player power tied to it.
Real player agency is not forcing people to choose RP or game play . Real player agency would allow players to do both .
yeah a vision that has multiple flaws that have been pointed out and can be very simply fixed but they want to push it through knowing full well that it would be a non issue if they just listened.
