Ion confirms the datamined blue eyes are not for the Blood Elves

Isn’t this a good thing?

It keeps the hope alive for those who wanted high elves…

Oh no. No it’s a bad thing. ION PLS. HOW MANY MORE OF THESE THREADS MUST WE ENDURE?

the only logical thing blizz has to do is do nothing at all

No San’layn?

Which is pretty much what is happening. Now both sides can be as equally unhappy, lol.

We don’t know. They said Belf customizations will hit Alpha in the coming weeks.

absolutely i totally agree

What I dont get is why devote so much resources for npcs when we have bare customizations on other races. Blood elves that never touched fel are lore plausible as Kael’thas still had blue eyes and we woupd have to assume 100% of the blood elf population were stupid and didnt absorb magical artifacts like the high elves did. Or the high elves that rejoined the blood elves and the absense of the city’s attack and still took the blood elf name in honor of the fallen.

Ion’s hubrus knows no end. Hes being dug himself so far into this hole that there’s no way he can come out of it now without eating crow.

That being said (haha.) It would be a net positive to the game if they just added high elves at this point. The fact Horde have 2 elven races at this point is silly, just let it happen.

NPCs usually have the unobtainable badarse armors, looks, voices. that’s to show that we’re lesser than them

It’s possible those eyes had always been there. I’ve seen it mentioned by dataminers that they’ve seen those eyes in the files before. It just might have gotten looked over because there was no announcement then of new customizations.

Here we see eyes with heterochromia. So I wonder if he just means the blue eyes will not be available and isn’t talking about the jade ones.

He said none of them for Belves so it could be for characters like Lorthemar, who has only one working eye. So his is the green option. There’s probably another elf with a missing blue eye out there somewhere.

ROFL everyone gets offended at everything now days… I am 100% willing to bet that I just offended someone by typing out this comment.

Another thing to consider is they have to work on the NPCs at the same time they redo eyes for playable characters. Because the last time they redid Belf eyes, some NPCs ended up with no eyes. And that was truly frightening.

. . . its posts like this that tend to make those of us who want Alliance high elves look petty . . .

That said, while I am glad they confirmed this, I will not “rub it in anyones face.” because thats just rude.

Oh well *shrug *

The other colors look great still, and i’m particularly excited to see some of that heterochromia.

I hope they go hog wild with the new customizations for our races lol id be okay with blue eyes for the blood elves, a blue eyed high elf on the alliance would still be a completely different character to me anyways if we ever got it. I think our characters choices and background stories really does make a difference in how people see the character they are playing as.

The elves are affected by magic so easily, we have seen elves with different colored eyes like purple on the blood elves and even Malfurion has green eyes right now. Their magic of choice should make a difference!!

I’m curious to see what they come up with for our wonderful Tauren friends too. If any race needs more, it’s them right now. Like… just give us Taunka skin.

Drow skin and eyes when?
