It might be petty, but tbh I dont blame people for taking a little joy out of this. The people who genuenely wanted blue eyes for blood elves were a small minority compared to those who just wanted to see alliance tears. And as they say, Turnabout is fairplay.

Personally, I’m ecstatic. They should not break lore for player aesthetic choice. Blue Eyed High Elves are on the Alliance, not the Horde. The Sunwell can never turn their eyes blue again. Arcane Magic cannot purify, as has been well established, and the holy side purifies them to gold.
And before “BUT BLACK HUMANS BREAKS LORE TOO” - No. They don’t. There’s no lore at all stating all humans were white. There is however, PLENTY of lore that Blood Elves have green eyes (now gold purified by the sunwell) and High Elves THAT ARE STILL ON THE ALLIANCE, have blue.
