IOC Horde boss killed waaaay too fast

I didn’t realize that vehicles spawned in the base, didn’t require a node to be captured and then didn’t have to travel all the way to the base from said nodes.

I suppose if they did all of those things it would be easier to kill them en route to the base rather than waiting for the gate to go down, knowing the potential damage they can do to the bosses.

I was mostly making fun of “git gud” posts.

I guess bliz doesn’t care that demos can fit in the doorway to the horde boss and hit dude for 10% a shot. This was reported several times.

They disappear if they touch the doorway. Gotta park just before

Easy to kill enroute with a third of the team with them while your team is also trying to its part to get the gates down? It would be wonderful if they were that easy but the fact is walls should act as walls and not allow one side an unfair exploit

I’ve found killing glaives - even on freshly dinged characters - very easy, even when they are defended. Frozen Orb and Water Elemental normally takes away 70% of their health before Ice Block is even over.

Also, it’s not an unfair exploit if both teams can do it.

I have a lot of fun sitting in a demo racking up the kills.

I play Horde and Alliance and the plan from both sides is always the same, confused. “Take hanger, it always wins”, “take Mid it always wins”, and then teams split up and go where ever they want. Herding cats would be easier and more fun, but I always come back for more.

Blizzard obviously know about killing the boss man with demos/glaive and if they have not changed it after all this time, what do you think the odds of changing it now are going to be?

If you play Horde, try playing Alliance for this BG, it is good fun when you are the one killing the boss in 10 seconds  It also give you a different perspective when you go back to Horde, knowing you have to keep the demos away from Alliance.

I always tirelessly try and convince whatever side I’m on to get Quarry and Refinery because it boosts vehicle cannon damage.

That’s really the whole trick to the place in the current game.

It really doesn’t matter if you get Hangar or WS, just get one of them. Then deny the other team Quarry and Refinery, because those two buildings will make whatever the other team has crap.

It sucks when you are in a good game and the horde should probably win but then agmar gets nuked by vehicle dmg.
yeah yeah its “possible” for horde too… we get it…
but can we just make dude man immune to bombs and siege.

Just did another IoC. Alliance engaged our General late, but it did not matter. They had demos and shot through the floor, auto-winning in a fraction of the time it should take to kill a General.

Eff this !@#$ month after month!!!

Can we all agree that shooting missles thru the walls to kill the boss is gay AF? Press 1 if you agree.

IT’S IN TODAY’S HOTFIX NOTES, THEY FIXED IT

Isle of Conquest

  • Siege Vehicles and Bombs no longer deal damage to enemy commanders.

(allegedly, haven’t been in IoC today)

Nooo blizzard never listens to us, this must be a mistake.

LMAO we were just trying to Kill the Horde boss with Demos as a last ditch effort to win that IOC and this is the first thing I see when I check the forums.

Nice, we shouldn’t have ever had that option.

Oh booooooooooo, they took away the raid option for Overwhelming Odds. Raiding the pyramid was fun, but I knew it wouldn’t last.

If i’m honest I think they should remove all WPVP benefits from raid groups. The game breaks if more than like 12 people are fighting.

This is alot of nothing that essentially boils down to “We’re going to keep using the exploit, so QQ.”

Is the fix immediate or on the next reset?

Seems fixed now!

The problem is fixed now, so it’s a moot point, but let me pose this hypothetical situation to you.

There’s a bug that allows goblins to rocket jump through a wall in IoC and drop infinite bombs on the boss without being targeted by NPCs. He can still be damaged by alliance, if they can get to him. The exploit jump is incredibly easy to do and since each horde team usually has a few goblins on it, the alliance boss usually dies in 10 seconds.

The alliance can do something similar to the horde boss, but it involves some tough wall jumping and almost everyone just ends up wasting their time when they try. You yourself have not tried, because of course you don’t condone using a glitch to win and the alliance as a whole has given up and would rather the glitch gets fixed than learn the conditions to recreate it on their side.

The problem would be incredibly easy to fix by making the walls more solid but blizzard has gone months without mentioning a fix and you’ve lost several games due to this glitch that you dead to rights should have won. But it’s just a game and it’s not even rated so of course blizzard shouldn’t fix it and you don’t mind queueing back into another 10 minute queue for another 20 minute game after being robbed.

So I read your post and then realized at the end you were giving us a hypothetical situation. Probably should have read your first line better. I was getting all giggly inside and my mouth was making a lot of spit.
