I have an idea….no.
I agree the drop rates are ridiculous make old mount drop rates go up 2% with every expansion that passes or let the boss drop a token and you can eventually get it off a vendor or something.
What are you confused about?

I feel like just the fact that you can steamroll ICC in under 15 minutes is what really increases the drop chance.

No, this was changed.
afaik, you can still do it from another account/ different chr (someone in your guild).
But you cannot invite YOURSELF. You can’t be on ONE account with two chrs… one of those chrs holds the lockout and creates a group, then logs out; the other chr logs in, finds the group and joins and uses the lockout?
That was removed.
But if you have a second account and just use a chr to hold the lockout? I believe you can still do this FOR HEROIC MODES.
Obviously, Mythics are still ID-locked and there’s no way around that. Bringing that up for Garrosh, SoO, Mythic mount from SoO, Tusk-farm.

I ran 8-10 full clears of ICC off and on again for years before it finally dropped. Running alts can be time consuming, but if you really want the mount it’s the way to go. Throw as many alts in there each week as you can field.
I didn’t know you could do this with one account.
Back in the day I just held the lockout on my second account for 3 months.

All I know is it took me a heck of a long time. Why we’re at it, since I have like what four warriors on Illidan server and a few on Stormrage just for the purpose of acquiring those Garrosh shoulders can someone at blizzard please let them drop for me.

I had someone ask me what mounts I was talking about when I said “Sparkle Pony” and “Invisible” about a week ago.
Depressed me. Or I was being trolled. It’s so hard to tell sometimes.
