Calling you out on your hyperbolic untruths is neither of those things.
The trick is to use reverse psychology. Stop farming for Invincible and start farming for the ghoul pet. The game will give you Invincible instead.

This. When I farm for Ashes of Al’ar, it’s not so much the consistent running through the raid that gets me; it’s all of Kael’thas’ bla bla bla at the end. I literally tab out while watching Youtube so he can finish rambling lol
Just chiming in with my 2 cents: Icecrown Citadel, and all raids really, need a ‘Skip to the end of the Raid’ option like raids from WoD onward do. Like, you collect a certain amount of mats over the course of 4 weeks, and then you finish it and can skip right to Arthas afterwards. Would make this process a whole lot less annoying.

I never told anyone this story, but…
Wife is older and doesn’t herself play, but loves watching me play. She has been with me for years watching me do IC for this mount. She knows the agony and frustration and what the mount means.
So a couple of weeks ago, “we” were questing, and some post guy wants me to make a special delivery to some idiot at some resort. I’m basically told, “He left some loot behind from IC and needs it right away.” So I thought, “IC?? No way…They would never be that cruel…” Sure as crap, it’s the reigns I have to deliver. I get there and he is really really arrogant and prickish. He then tells me, “Oh, that’s a spare, I don’t really need it, go sell it for me and return me the gold.”
Immediately I thought this is about the lowest most humiliating thing I had to do in this game. My wife says, “Well, the developers really know how to push your buttons, don’t they?”
So I do all he selling and returning etc etc, and he’s still being a pompous twit jerk, and I leave…
The next Tues reset, I tell my wife, well, let’s get IC out of the way , then we can go to Sha of Anger after.
Invincible dropped that very run. I about knocked stuff off the shelves from jumping around.
I am so glad after all these years for getting it, but it was really weird because it felt like a kick in the teeth, and then being handed a cookie afterwards, LOL.
PS: The arrogant dude sends me a valentines day card a week later. He’s STILL a pompous twit, even in the card.

I farmed it for 2 years before it finally dropped.
I can guarantee you my main’s Siege of Orgrimmar kills aren’t correct. I killed Garrosh more than once on heroic and that is all it shows. It shows only once for the last three bosses in fact and that is wrong as well.

1% drops are fine, especially now that we can just toss as many alts as we feel like leveling at it.
The alternative was removing it entirely from the game.
So you’re mad you have to walk through an instance when you can already kill everything with a single GCD?

It’s a beautiful New Years Day here in Sydney, and Im too laid back atm to be ‘mad’ about pixels.
Certain later raids allowed you to do content in order to get a skip that took you through other content you had done many times before in order to reach the boss you wanted to get to. Do you somehow feel this is a Bad Thing?

It’s a complete waste of resources, and the skips were implemented for raiders while the content is current, not to go back and farm it 10 years later with a single button.
No, your poor spending choices shouldn’t influence your grind that everyone else has done. Suck it up.

…i feel that i’ve killed the Crown Chemical Co bosses too much.
not once have i ever felt entitled enough to claim that the mount should be given to me.
it’s not as if this is the first time someone has made a post like this.
and every time, the posters claims are easily disproved.
…it’s degrading and disrespectful to the players who “actually” farm.

Who cares when it was implemented, its there and as useful now to players as it was then.

So? They still exist and they still help. The entire point was to skip bosses. No one cares why they skipped bosses. Hell, my guild got those specifically for skipping bosses for transmog.
they were frustrated about the situation and made the post - there wasn’t some hidden agenda at play.
And those armory kills aren’t reliable based on my SoO kills which are definitely wrong. So it is very possible other kills aren’t recorded correctly as well.
Its only a problem because he doesn’t have the one he wants. If he did, we’d be reading a rage thread threatening to unsub over rare mounts appearing in the Trading Post.

I don’t think you’re understanding what I’m saying. Whatever the actual chance is in-game is still the chance for it to drop regardless of how many times you or anybody else has run the raid. It doesn’t matter if 150 trillion billion people run it. The number is still going to be the same for the individual running the raid.

it likely is a combination of the two, however, that armory isn’t 100%. My kills are 25% of what they should be on that last boss in Siege - why it is wrong?
