Theyre not “kind of right” they’re straight up wrong. There’s leftists themselves supporting Putin because they fell for the MUH FASCISTS IN UKRAINE meme or tankies in che shirts praising xi “because they stand against capitalism!” Don’t forget Obama and Biden ran the “reset relations campaign” and that’s when Putin entered Crimea too. On the flip side there’s extreme right who support Ukraine (google Azov battalion and US). Taking singular comments from a individual/minority (esp out of context) and then amplifying to make false broad generalizations is just a really bad facet of american modern politics and it needs to stop.

I’m not sure how familiar you are with the situation, but the Ukraine is well known to be a hotbed of political “N*zi” sympathizers. As to how true his intentions regarding that are, that’s up for debate

lol yeah. The current party line is that Ukraine is infested with n@zi’s that hate Russia and want to kill Russians. Which hardly anyone in Russia actually believes because most of them have family and friends who live in the Ukraine. The Us vs. Them mentality isn’t going to work here like it did in Chechnya

Thats false though. Baltics are, by a massively wide margin. Ukraine is still a corrupt hybrid regime. Ukraines mistake was trying to clean itself off of the Soviet rot.
