Into The Storm - Storm Chaser

Blizzard should really do any combination of these 3:

  1. Spawn one storm in each zone at a time (So one in Azure Span, one in Waking Shores, one is Thaldraszus and one in Ohn’ahran Plains.)
  2. Put them on a set rotation.
  3. Remove the 1 hour period where there is no storm up at all. It’s honestly entirely unnecessary that there’s a time where no storm.

This is by far the worst part of the meta achievement. I don’t think there was any part of the Shadowlands achievement half as bad as this, as the longest one was either the Ember Court one that was at least guaranteed after 4 weeks (and they have since nerfed to be daily instead of weekly) or the Abomination Factory, which again was guaranteed after a couple weeks.

They aren’t gonna make any changes until most everyone working on this meta achievment has completed it or the expansion is over :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Decided to summarize the issue with the Elemental storms in the current state in a picture.

Spawning one in every zone or fixed rotation would be great.

Or instead of having to make a rotation mechanics change, relax the Storm Chaser achievement to something like complete one storm in each zone, or complete one of each elemental type. Or kill 3200 storm empowered mobs.

Except the “what it feels like” picture is closer to what we actually have. Honestly, even that picture doesn’t have enough blue. I haven’t been keeping track, but a poster in another thread listed this as the breakdown of storms for the past few days:

Azure Span: 23
Waking Shores: 6
Ohn’ahran Plains: 3
Thaldraszus: 3

Well, sample size and all, tossed them together with the first one being the actual RNG chances, the second one being what it should be, and the last one being what it feels like over the past few days.

There are comments going all the way back to Forbidden reach patch on wowhead complaining about azure span being the only thing spawning. I think the sample size is big enough to say that the spawns are problematic.

The fact only a few mobs got the buff and how credit seem awkward across groups, the whole thing seem awful to farm.

Maybe reduce the amount of enemies to 50 or have one storm up at all times in each zone?

You need to know where to find them.

Span is fine across all spawns, Onaha is also. The hyperspawn location under ground and just in front of that building in Waking is great. In Thal you just fly around all the levels below up the back, easy 200 mobs in 20 minutes.

It’s the one in Waking near the keep that is the annoying one, that’s where there are only a handful of enemies that take time.

There really is no problem with 6 of the 7 spawn locations, the problem is getting the zone and storm you need to spawn because Span has 3 spots and Waking has 2, it favours them more due to the RNG factor of the spawns.

Oh, good to know.

It’s always like that. Primalists and their elemental minions are never empowered.

The only one that is an actual issue is the Waking Shore one near the keep, all the others have plenty of mobs to kill.

Sad that Blizzard encourages this type of behavior.

Yea I just spent the past day doing old stuff, only to find out I have to do EVERYTHING on the Reach cuz I missed that patch due to IRL issues. Yea, no. I aint wasting my time doing any of the rest of the crap for Taivan. WHY BLIZZARD? WHY DO YOU DO THIS CRAP?

The Forbidden Reach stuff isn’t nearly as bad as Storm Chaser.

Well I aint doing none of it. This mount should have been the reward for the quest chain we did earlier. Not this bullcrap that will take ME literally YEARS to do.

That’s an over exaggeration even for these forums.

You can do the FR stuff in like a week.
