I’ve been interviewing some players for my channel which I won’t plug here, but some random views I found interesting:
“I’ve experienced increasingly diminishing returns of joy playing since starting 2005. I reflected on its increased accessibility to casual players / financial KPI chasing by ActBlizz since the latter two co’s assimilated in 2008. I don’t think (Mike) Morhaime planned for the present state of the game to be what it is today, but who knows. Money vs principals on any battlefield aren’t a fair conquest, if human history is to be relied upon as a guide…”
All I got from that is the game must have been amazing in 2005 to survive 16 years of becoming progressively worse and still being a pretty enjoyable use of a few hours a week.
I agree. I think it’s player perspective which causes a game to ‘feel’ like it’s not as good as it once was when in fact, WOW is still an outstanding game.
This game is pretty damn good but I reckon peeps hold it to such high expectations. If the three middle Star Wars films were made under some other franchise like ‘Wars in SPace’ and not under Luchasfilm, they’d have been more succsefull. As soon as people heard the franchise, standards and expactions heighetend. Peeps ruin or enjiy their own experiences based on what this dude (healer) said. If it’s still fun, game on!
It’s stil gud. I taknered Vanilla but cbf retanking with current gaming community - they throw you away after each run and blame tank for many problems. Retail is where itsat4 mr.
What’s the feedback to be had here? From what I read some guy thinks the game should be built as it was in 2005. Go play Classic WoW I guess? Like what is new about a gamer complaining about a game its as old as time the point of feedback is to be specific around actionable points there’s nothing in his input that’s actionable its just a complaint about a game he’s been playing for more than a decade lol.
Not even a couple hours a week. Got through 2 zones in shadowlands and quit because it was so boring and there was no way of me dying because all the mobs in the open world were nerfed to hell. Classic isn’t hard but at least there’s challenge in the open world.
