Personally, I don’t care if they change or don’t change anything. I’ll still play. But here’s what I wanted to ask:
What do you guys think about finishing or adding the cut content of Vanilla? I know there are some examples, but can’t think of them off the top of my head. As long as Blizzard keeps with the aesthetic and image of Vanilla I don’t see a problem at all (although I can understand if people do).
Probably not ideal for most, but I would be happy if the speculation of what they were/could’ve been was finally answered.

I would love if they added Kara at some point.

I was really hoping to avoid the trolls…

You asked for examples of cut content, Kara was one of them.

Then it wouldn’t be classic. It would be Vanilla+

I think if things go well (and I think they will), this could be an option for the future. For now, I’d like the “authentic experience.”
Do you have any examples of cut content?
Ask me again in ~2 years.

Agreed on authentic experience. Just a thought for the long term. Anyways, things that were cut from vanilla, but added in later on I wouldn’t want to see (like Kara).
I’d like to see the Azshara BG map added or maybe Dragon Isles. Can’t think of any others I’d want to see right now.
If people don’t want to see them in the game, I’d at least like to know how they worked or looked.
As long as the traditional Classic experience stays intact, I’m fine with it. There should always be servers that are as vanilla as possible, that are “Classic” as released, and never modified beyond the already announced content.
But I"m not opposed to other servers advancing through BC, Wrath, etc. But I think adding “new”, original content onto this old game wouldn’t work.

I would love it personally. Ashbringer, Azshara’s Crater, Zalashji, Dragon Isles. I want it all. Oh and finish the last two classes’ ST questline. Should be a no-brainer.
Anything they add would be designed by the current devs. It wouldn’t actually be like extending Classic; it would be like the Modern “improvements” Brack didn’t hesitate to assert absolutely everyone wanted and valued.

That’s what a concern for me. It would be hard to create an idea or the image of the 2004 developers had after most have them have left. But if there are still notes or documentation on where they were going before it was cut I would like to see those or have them carried out by modern devs.
Too risky, I don’t trust Blizz enough to not screw that up.

I would love tbc, that’s cut right

It would be cool. But I think gauging everybody’s reaction with the release of Classic is a higher priority first, instead of announcing that they will be adding cut content before the game is even released.

There is no vanilla cut content. There are merely ideas people had who worked at Blizzard. What didn’t make it into vanilla is not vanilla now and it never will be.
If you want content beyond vanilla then you should push for separate Burning Crusade and Wrath of The Lich King servers. Emphasis on separate as we should be able to stay in vanilla land until pigs fly

Depends on which content. Player housing, several instances, a battleground?
Sithilus and Azshara being finished and cleaned up?
I think we’re more likely to see a tbc continuation than Kara being its 20 man version cut from vanilla.
