Gonna have fun spamming tons of portals in 1 spot and sending people to dalaran fall lmao.
That sounds funny imagining mages just blinking out of existence with no warning.
portal roulette
Would love to see this make it to live. Can you imagine in WM trying to kill a mage in Open World or even BGs or Arenas and they just instantly disappear.
Other classes in WM, BGs or Arenas will be like: “Just going to attack and kill this mage aaaaaaand he’s gone!”
People will be like “he was just there”
Mages will be like “not anymore. Poof”
This is gonna be the new bubble hearth when getting your butt beaten in PvP lol
Can’t cast portals whilst in combat.
That’s why you cast them before combat if you can. Back in the days when holidays still got players out in the world I’d open a portal before snuffing a fire (and flagging myself in the process) so I could jump in if need be.
Could Shadowmeld + portal work for Night Elf Mages?
I’m not actually seeing it on MMO-C, or a proper WoWHead article on it. Even in that article it doesn’t acknowledge it.
So it’s probably nothing.
But if it is a genuine change, sounds like a clown fiesta.
Seems like kind of a weird change. I don’t PvP at all, so I can’t speak on that, but taking ten seconds to cast a portal in PvE really wasn’t something that ever bothered me.
Edit: I mean, I won’t say NO to instant portals, I just don’t understand who was asking for it.
Don’t all mages have access to invisibility and doesn’t that drop combat?
Doesn’t drop pvp combat
Ah, thanks for the info.
squinty eyes
In my experience it does not and I use greater invis
I can’t say you’re wrong because I have no idea, I’ve just never heard that before lol.
Logging on two alts to make them duel to see
Edit: Works fine in a duel at least
(this was recorded using two potato chips )
You can see soon as I click greater invis I drop combat (no more crossed swords) and can mount (probably should have put portals on my bars )
Fair enough
I thought it worked like but, not that is really matters as invis has a duration long enough that you can basically just run away on foot,.
At least a paladin has to look you in the eye as they bubble hearth away…mages could now basically leave in the morning before you wake up when you thought you had a good time and they promised to call you.
