LFR has been personal loot since very shortly afer DS LFR launched, there is no rolling.
Less time than trying to find pug and see above there was no rolling for loot.

This is incredibly disappointing and horrible. This doesn’t keep Classic alive, it takes away a core mechanic that I and many other players LOVED during the expansion. These dungeon are not fun, they are not enjoyable. They are not casual. An inferno dungeon takes forever to do and is a miserable slog, these celestials will be the same. LFR was FUN and enjoyable. I was so damn excited for MOP, so happy to have one of my favorite expansions back and you kneecap it like this.

Because for some reason in this nostalgia throwback version of a beloved expansion, these “devs” have to dictate for some reason how they think we should play. It’s cringe as all hell.

If you treat it as your main objective, maybe? But that’s a subjective opinion. I liked it because I could casually raid on an alt or on a week where I couldn’t make raid night for the guild and still have some progression albeit minor. Some people love being able to queue even if it takes a while. Why take something away from people just because YOU don’t like it?

It is not accessible. What’s accessible and enjoyable is LFR, full stop. I’m incredibly disappointed time and time again the spirit of Classic is taking away features people enjoy and putting in things people didn’t ask for instead of just giving us the game as it was, as it deserves to be experienced.

LFR was always an optional feature. People who didn’t like LFR simply didn’t use it, same as say BG’s.

I would’ve been fine if they included LFR, regardless of which direction it went I was not bias. There are plenty of pug groups going 24/7 for DS so I assume it will be just the same for MOP.

This kind of makes me sad as a pretty hardcore solo player. I tried some of those dungeons above Heroic a few times in Wrath and Cata but I had pretty bad experiences and got so scared I’ve completely sworn them off. I was looking forward to LFR where it’s just braindead rot for a grossly shy dumb noob like me :'V RIP

Idk research I just did says it was implemented in 5.0 which was MOP prepatch but maybe im wrong.

LFR Raids are also far more accessible for my disabilities than the harder dungeons. I don’t do mythic + For the same reason I don’t do above LFR In retail. I was so excited to experience the expansion I loved as it was and now I just can’t. Genuinely I struggle in the Twilight Inferno dungeons and I struggled with the Alpha/beta/Gamma dungeons in Wrath. I was always bottom of the charts unable to keep up, but that’s OK in LFR when there’s 24 people and your weight doesn’t matter as much. If you mistime an ability there is much more room and grace to recover.
Accessibility would be putting in LFR.

Exactly. If they think spamming dungeons is anywhere close to a good replacement, that’s hilariously sad. Not sure why they’re trying to dictate where and why people have fun in the game.

So this means you’ll want to farm tier from dungeons before entering HoF and ToES? This feels kinda stinky and a retail problem being forced onto classic and heightened.

The one thing missing from this announcement is what happens with mounts? Being able to do elegon on LFR every week is a lot of extra chances at it dropping. Will there be a way to get it from celestial dungeons or increase the droprate on normal and heroic?

I think its more the fact that LFR would require more work than just implementing the dungeons with the same loot.

This is an incredible way to frame it, as someone who is also disabled and got pretty overwhelmed in the higher tier dungeons. ‘Regular’ people might not understand but this is a really disappointing decision for the people who actually benefit from the system
