Just downloaded tbc classic and it’s now giving me the option download vanilla classic again. Do you need to download classic vanilla in order to move my character to tbc?
yes. It uses alot of the same assets tho so the download size should be small
Yes, because they are two separate clients now. If you want to play both. If you only plan to play TBC then no.
No, you do not need to download Classic ERA if you are not planning to play it or move toons to it.
If you plan to go into TBC then you will have to do nothing. Except update addons.
No, if you are staying in TBC you do not need to download Vanilla.
I wasn’t very clear the first time and im sorry about that. What im saying is I already had classic fully installed and now that I installed tbc it seems to have replaced my classic one.
Thanks for the info.
Correct, your classic moved to tbc and if you wanted to play classic again you need to install classic era.
If you don’t want to touch classic ever again, you can just leave it uninstalled.
the download is small like 340 mb it just uses a different launcher but YES you do need to install the new launcher for it via battle.net i already have took me 2-3 mins
TBC old world looks fundamentally different to Vanilla due to lighting/color updates and whatnot.
Can anyone confirm does the old world on Beta look the exact same as on Classic? If so that’s pretty lame.
Did they just update the models and add new quest NPCs and call it a day? lol.
