please give me a solution so I can play WOW again
I reinstalled battle.net because previously when playing WOW it suddenly force closed and asked for an update, but when I updated it an error notification appeared
May I ask what that error notification was?

Open the task manager, and end any battlenet / update agent processes that are appearing.
Or reboot the PC and try reinstalling then.
Make sure you’re also running the installer as administrator too.
