I been trying to find this answer but can’t. I’ve got everything exhalted for the insane title but bloodsail. My question is since I have everything else exhaled will it still count for the insane title when I get bloodsail to honored and the SW cartel isn’t exhalted anymore?

Not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure that you need to remain exalted with the Steamwheedle Cartel for it to count.

That is correct. You must complete bloodsail rep before doing the goblin reps or you will be prevented from getting the title.
Once bloodsail is done, the only way to gain rep for goblins is to do things that do not reduce your bloodsail rep.

As holy said. This is what makes it “insane” as you are having to do less optimal ways to get rep in order to get gobs up without losing blood sail as norm the methiods use will tank that rep.

The guide I looked up for it on Wowhead (for retail, not Classic) suggested doing all of the Booty Bay quests (including the ones in Arathi) first, then murking the BB guards to get the Bloodsail rep up, then doing all of the “please forgive me” quests for the Cartel factions, then doing the other quests and then proceeding to the enemy grinding. It also mentioned that Everlook is mostly going to be spillover rep since they don’t have an enemy that awards their rep like Tanaris and Ratchet do.

You have to do the Bloodsail rep first, and then Cartel rep. You cannot do the “please forgive me” quests Blade here suggested. They take away your Bloodsail rep in WoTLK. I know because I had to REGRIND the Cartel rep because I did it backwards like you’re talking about doing.

…Yeah, I knew that. I didn’t say “stop once you hit Honored” because in order to do that and keep both active you need to head all the way to Exalted, in which case those quests won’t take you down past Honored.

No. Get them to honored,which will tank your goblin reps, then you have to re-level all of your goblin reps, without hurting your blood sail rep.

If I only get it to honored won’t it go back down when I get the other ones up? I already have the the other 4 to exhalted.

Getting bloodsail back to honored will cause steemwheedle to go back down.
IIRC the only way to gain goblin reps without losing bloodsail rep is by killing venture company goblins, pirates who are not bloodsails, and by doing the repeatable quest Free Knot over and over.

1 more question. Since I have the cartel already exhalted do I have to get it back up after bloodsail or since I’m already exhalted it will still count?

I think you have to get it back.
That may change in cataclysm though, I read something about it but not sure if true.

Something fun I found out yesterday; that also includes the Venture Company enemies in Grizzly Hills. XD
Iirc it goes from both needing to be true at the same time to working sort of like the Hero of Shattrath FoS where an internal flag is set once one hits the requirement so you can then reverse course, but I don’t know if that was in Cata or something else.
I haven’t tried it but I believe you can get Goblin rep by killing enemies in Tanaris.

It’s a question I had when I did Insane. To void this protentional issue that I didn’t find a clear answer on, I did Bloodsail first, and then grinded the goblin reps up after.
As you probably know, goblin reps give 50% rep hold over for the other goblin towns that is not directly associated with the enemy you are currently killing.
So, I farmed exalted with all but Ratchet from the coast of the barrens, then finished Ratchet with the pirates in Tanaris, getting BB up to exalted without losing BSB rep.
Worst case scenario, you need to dumpster your goblin rep for BSB, then refarm the goblins reps.

Alternetivly you can get exalted with the BSB then do SWC rep. iirc it should have you as honoured which fits the requirement for the title.

You need to murder bootybay guards until you are honored boodsail then you can choose where to grind your 4 cartels rep. Either ratchet / tanaris or simply doing the key and knot quest in diremaul north.
All of them are grindy but this is pretty much one of the easier parts in terms of hours used and headache gotten.
