Tell that to blizzard. They have a set percentage you either get lucky or you do not. There is no other way around. They don’t care if you think you’ve somehow earned it. If they did you would have been able to buy all the mounts from a vendor long ago. Maybe it’ll appear on the trading post. That seems very resonable at least.
I got it last year and had no idea it even existed
I don’t like the “there is no other way around” mentality. We, as players, can push for changes.
I’m all for the Infinite Timereaver continuing to be rare and likely requiring a grind to get, but I also very firmly believe that it needs bad luck protection. It should not take over 5000 kills to get. That itself is a massive grind, let alone the situation that I described above.
If they didn’t buff the drop rate, then it would at least be nice to be able to buy the Timereaver for a high amount of TW badges, to preserve its rarity but also make it realistic to obtain. Just spitballing an idea, but what if it cost 50k badges from the Cataclysm vendor?
It would be expensive, would only be purchasable for a limited amount of time, but it would at least be feasible for a player to work towards if they’ve been massively unlucky.
I came back to WoW on a new account a few months ago and got it on the last week of the timewalking event a couple months ago. I didnt even know it existed until i got it and had no idea how rare it was until i looked it up on Wowhead. It was my go to mount until i got the mount from preordering D4. Now i don’t even use it. Lol
