Took me 4 kills. RNG is RNG. Luckily, it’s pretty grindable.
Still haven’t got Ashes of Al’ar nor Invincible after all these years.
Stupid thing is, I got Infinite Timereaver on the 5th try for timewalking when it first came out…
Probably the least sweet response you will get is the “I got it, sucks to be you” comment. The fact is, these are all a matter of luck, often bad. I’ve probably done about 500-600 kills of Ruhkmar and still no Solar Spirehawk (despite the supposed improvement) and I received the Timereaver fairly early on, again by the purest of luck. Same thing with Huolon’s mount drop - got it back in MoP when the chances were very low but have never got the one from the Isle of Thunder boss. And let us not speak of that damned misnamed Rocket…

Im going to spend roughly 10k badges on bloods so i can buy leystone ore to make repair hammers for a year!
I got it sometime in BFA and I just added it to my other 500 plus random mount list.
It’s just another mount.
Honestly, one of my favorite mounts is the Twilight Drake. It’s not a super rare mount at all, but it looks really flipping cool, at least to me.

I’m currently tearing my hair out hoping for 2 final mount customization patterns to drop and they just refuse.

For something like the Infinite Timereaver, AT LEAST make it purchasable with a load of tokens (50k+?)
A 1 in 4000 drop rate is absurd. I’ve read a comment where someone had over 30k kills and they never got it, they quit the game instead. That shouldn’t be possible.

Yeah. I’ve ran a lot of TW dungeons since WoD, and I’ve only ever seen it drop twice. Not for me, obviously, because of course it didn’t. It really does seem to be too low.
for a regular mount sure…but this particular mount is literally supposed to function this way…it’s intentional, not only via the “timewaster” joke, but also in its description. they’re only supposed to be capturable in a time travel setting…since that’s the realm they inhabit.
in fact, i would like to see more rewards work this way…like adding an Infinite Timreaver mount to any level of mythic+…i think it would actually spin the game off in a positive way, and perhaps make completion dungeons more of a thing…since right now as it stands, score is the only real “reward” you get otherwise.
just a thought - rng is not going anywhere, but i can be utilized in so many different ways. 
I’m fine with insanely low RNG, but there needs to be SOME sort of bad luck protection. I’ve seen multiple people with over 10k kills (spoke to 1 last night in my group), and ofc that 30k+ comment I mentioned. That’s not okay, like at all lol.
There is a balance to be made between being extremely rare and unhealthy for the player. The Time-Lost Proto-Drake (another ‘timewaster’ dragon) is a much better handled idea, imo.
Rarity can also be maintained while making it realistic to obtain. 100k badges for instance, for the Timereaver (while the chance to drop still exists) would make it quite the feat to obtain, but would still allow people to be lucky.

I think I’ve seen the TLPD more times dead (around 4-5 times, once by my own hand) more than I’ve seen this mount drop in Timewalking. I’ll let that sink in for a moment. Some levels of RNG just…aren’t okay.

That’s exactly how I feel. It’s cool to see someone else with a rare mount, but it doesn’t at all indicate skill, knowledge, or anything of actual value about the player.
They got lucky, nothing more, nothing less.
I’ve done a lot of Timewalking, I have over 20,000 badges. It was news to me past year or so that a mount even dropped at all.
This week, I’ve seen it drop twice.
I have good mount luck. I get them fairly often but i don’t ever farm. I got the timereaver back in like 2014 or so. I’m sorry you still haven’t gotten it. I’d honesty give you mine if I could cause I never use it. I believe there should be a system that takes something into account like say how many badges you’ve spent and does some math junk to up your chances to get the timereaver based on that. Or put it on tue vendor for a million badges or something. Put it within reach.

Ive earnt 100k+ badges, bought everything off the tw vendors and spent the rest on blood of sargeras to swap for leystone ore (to make repair hammers - currently can make another 5k hammers, just waiting for market to stabilize again)
Never seen it drop. Been farming for it since tw first released. Guildy looted it this week though, on an alt he doesnt care about that he decided to level because of the xp buff. Just this week alone ive leveled 2 toons from 60-70 and gained 60-65 on my rogue, completed the weeklyx5 on 6 toons at max and did some farming runs on my warrior. I fell asleep a few hours ago grinding for it on my rogue.
I think im done.
I never wanted the mount and randomly got it while doing timewalking way back. That’s how you have to play these games. Never let it trap you in the hamster wheel, nothing good will come out of it.
Why do i need to run timewalking if i already have all the rewards from the vendors then? I dont enjoy timewalking at all, i only run it for the mount chance. Sure its great xp when doubled with an xp buff but blizz removed the ability to q for tw at lower level, no idea why because thats how i leveled every one of my alts.
If you say for the weekly - i already outgear that reward.
So when you say “That’s how you have to play these games. Never let it trap you in the hamster wheel, nothing good will come out of it” do i just bank it in with the CE and PvP mounts ill never have? I swear ive earnt the tw mount thousands of times over compared to earning ce/pvp mounts.
