Just as title suggests, I haven’t been able to do a single battleground blitz on my demon hunter this season. I’m on vacation this week and decided to gear out my DH, I’ve had no issues queueing up for solo shuffle, when queueing up for blitz, I get an estimated wait time, but I’m getting 0 minutes, 00 seconds, and ONLY on my demon hunter. This issue does not exist for any other character I have. After sitting in queue for 2 hours and 26 minutes, I put in a ticket. The response from the GM told me to rename my WTF, interface, and cache folders, disable all addons, and try again. I did exactly that, currently I have been sitting in queue for 47 minutes and no pop. Keep in mind that I have never seen queue times like this, even playing at 2600 MMR both this and last season. This part of this issue that catches my eye the most is the fact that when I queue up for blitz on any other toon, I ALWAYS get an estimated wait time, but not on my demon hunter, I have never seen that before, which leads me to believe that there’s something wrong with the game, and just on this one character, any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Are you certain you did a proper reset UI?
If you renamed your WTF, Interface and Cache folders - there wouldn’t be any addons TO disable.
All my addons were deleted. I did an update and refresh, and they were all gone. Currently been sitting in queue for 55 minutes at this moment, which I’ve never had a queue time this long in this history of playing the game.
I’d suggest posting in bugs then.
Quite often something that only afflicts one character is UI related - and that is often addon related.
What I’ve personally noticed is if I’m very unlucky and the spec I’m on starts 0-4 in BG Blitz my MMR will be around 1k. As the game tries to match you with people around the same MMR I find when I hit that MMR rating it’s best to change specs as each spec has its own MMR tied to it. Or having a healer friend Duo queue with you to try and get out of that MMR.
Since you’re playing on your DH you will probably need to find a healer friend to duo queue with.
I’ll have to give it a shot; I’ve exhausted all other options. Currently been in queue for another hour and 10 minutes, AFTER I’ve done everything that the GM’s have told me, I’ve posted this in the arena, but, and customer support forums. I’ve submitted two tickets, and still can’t play blitz.
Orlyia isn’t a GM. They are a Support Forum Agent and occasionally chime in as the CS forum is a player to player help desk.
I wish you luck as I suspect it’s something tied to your MMR rating like the issue I had on my Outlaw rogue a while back, swapped from Outlaw to Assassination and the 2+ hour queues became 15 mins.
There have been several posts in the Battleground forums with this exact same issue. They all had to fix it by queueing with somebody else to drag their MMR out of the mud.
Obviously this is a bug that Blizzard will need to fix, so posting this in the bug report forum is probably the best.
I did, not a single response from Blizzard, I’m now sitting at 2 hours and 20 minutes in queue.
The bug reports form is just that - reporting bugs. It isn’t a means to talk to anyone. If they need more info, they’d ask for it there.
Might not be a bug if there isn’t enough people in that MMR bracket for the queue to pop, could be the issue of having 0 healers in that MMR bracket so it will never pop.
Also doesn’t help that most people who hit that MMR bracket change specs or swap classes so they aren’t in that MMR bracket.
The issue has generally always been with how bad the MMR matchmaking can be where you can brick your character/spec.
Found a healer in LFG to queue with and it fixed the problem, I knew it worked immediately because I had him invite me, queue us up himself, and I saw an average time ticking for the first time ever. We did 1 game, won, he left the group and I requeued, and just like magic there’s a queue timer.
I’d still consider that a bug though since there should be no point in which someone’s MMR can drop so low that the game refuses to match them up. A flaw in the MMR system that effectively bricks a character from actually getting any games is a bug in the MMR system that needs to be addressed. And it is something that is easily solved, at least for the low end of MMR.
Problems with queue times at the high end are more difficult to solve.
Ya for the low end of MMR you need to have 1100 or 1200 bracket encompass everything at it and below it. That or prevent MMR falling below a certain level.
But ya those of us who do rated PvP have been complaining about the MMR for a while at how bad it is so we doubt anything will be done.
Yeah, this is definitely a bug, when on three separate occasions I waited two and half hours or longer without a queue pop while also showing no average wait time. If not for the help of a kind player, I would have never been ever to play blitz again, how does Blizz not see this?
If you think something is bug, you’d want to post in the bug report forms. But by the end of the day, there isn’t much Blizzard can do to make it pop.
There’s no “thinking” to it. It’s a bug, plain and simple. This is the bug post forums, which is where it was posted, the fact that Blizzard knows about it and still hasn’t addressed it is embarrassing for a multi-million-dollar company.
This is the Customer Support forum, not the Bug Report forum.
Additionally, knowing about a potential bug isn’t the same as verifying it happening, what might be causing it nor does it magically create a solution.
I am glad that you found a solution for your issue in this case, but I think any further discussion of this issue should be directed to the Bug Report forum.
