Clearly the people love cata dungeons so much they only wanted them to take longer so we could enjoy them more and consider quitting more!
New mechanics or buffs to make us powerful like Halls of Stone or Halls of lightning? Nah those are for non wow purists, give me a flat 100% hp buff to mobs that’s where its at.
I mean, while personally I find the new instances to be incredibly boring, I think they sort of fit the intended audience. They could maybe increase mob and boss dmg, and reduce boss HP a little, but I don’t think these are really intended to be something people progress at, like M+.
Or likely consider logging back onto Retail and pushing keys.
I call them DUDU-Dungeons. This is what happens when blizz promises heroic+ dungeons and forget about said promise. Because they are to busy focusing on Season Of Dumpsterfire. So they just throw a little buff and call it a day. Least amount of effort required.
I can’t seem to find a source, but I could have sworn I heard something about Cata Classic having tons of new features to the extent I thought that it was like a Classic+ but on the Cata client.
Perhaps that was just a dream I had, or I’m misremembering, but it was about a year or so ago, I think. Before Cata Classic (and maybe before SoD even) came out. It was surprisingly something that sounded appealing to me, and I had been looking forward to it.

I’m enjoying them but I also enjoy Cata dungeons. I think they should have upped the damage though, cause it still feels “safer” than Heroics did back during OG 2010 launch. Where are the one-shots for failing to dodge mechanics and interrupt casts at?
Failing mechanics damage could be increased. But just increasing the damage your tank takes is lazy.
imagine if they actually launched those heroics on launch. The casuals would be up in arms. nvm probably more like on there knees crying like that one guy screaming when Trump won in 2016.

I’ll just wait one more week. The heroics were fun for a while the first time. Going back for 372 from 378 in one week is not worth the time sink imo

Would have wrather seen a 50% damage increase and a 25% hp increase.
Lower geared groups can still CC trash to get through them.
well if you are pushing 25m heroic rag week 1 then you proly need to have everyone in full bis. There are many just missing one or two pieces from maybe alakir or sinestra. That explains why you will find ilvl 370 pubs runing these 5M.

Reminds me of how alpha dungeons went in WotLK. You got around 3.8k GS gear from the dungeon drops, but the majority of groups on premade finder required 4.2k+ gs. If you tried doing an “undergeared” early morning run of Gundrak or DTK, good luck.
This time, at least there’s no barely visible affix that makes mobs heal to full if you don’t drag them away in 0.5 seconds. Or a boss that remains stationary with said affix.

Oh yeah, I 100% agree they took the easiest option. They could have designed fun affixes, like HoS/HoL.

It should stay in retail or legion and beyond for classic. iirc it came out in legion.
