This is so stupid. See, people put hours and hours and hours into farming a corruption and Blizzard just be like…

YOU CAN’T HOJ THAT OFTEN!

While Paladins just be like…
HOJ GOES BRR!!!

The question is this statement

“The hotfix will make it so the flat cooldown reduction provided by Fist of Justice (and similar abilities) will not be unintentionally increased by effects that increase your cooldown rate (such as Ineffable Truth).”

How is it unintended? The corruption was designed to work on everything that is it’s intentions. It’s like they hate to admit something they created wasn’t tested and they made a mistake.

The nerf makes ZERO sense when it was it’s clearly doing what was intended.

The part that’s unintended is that when Judge is supposed to take 10 seconds off hoj CD, with the ineff buff it takes like 30~ seconds (I think 34?) off of the CD

A mage with firestarter would get like 17 seconds off combust CD per fireball if they have max ineff for example, instead of 5

Hmmm okay my Judge takes 6 secs off next HoJ so the Ineff is amping what is taken off? They could explain what is actually going on and what they plan on fixing. Will Ineff still reduce the CD of HoJ?

So it’s just these type of situations then that are unique but it should still work I assume.

It won’t work, you wasted your time/echoes, the prot dream is dead.

First off I am just trying to have a mechanical discussion with an actual good poster Dilly. So the community understands clearly what the issue is, the fix and how it will work from here.

Second I don’t use Ineff and only am going over the mechanics of the fix so please try to not be that guy. You are turning into Hekindoggo.

Ya ineff amps the CD reduction for the judge

It will still reduce hoj’s cd and judge’s cd, it just won’t make it so that ineff makes a judge take off way more time than normal for a hoj

I was saddened by this after deciding to do the assaults on my alt hpal a little bit ago that I’m thinking about gearing. Now after seeing abomb be upset about it I’m ok with the hotfix.

Destro locks don’t understand emotions. Clearly I am not sad but questioning Blizz lack of an ability to understand how their creations even work.

I have Zero Ineffs and never thought once about using them. You don’t get it  Sorry to ruin your day but The Abomb is in a fantastic mood…fighting The Good Fight.

Thank you for making me happy today abomb.

pretty much a new version of azerite traits. Remember when dagger in the back x 3 would pretty much 1 shot someone? There was no real active balancing or work done on this system and now the blowback is real. Everyone said ‘yay corruption for everyone!’ but the levels of stats and power given by stacking corruption is significantly more than any other end of expansion feature which will probably end up breaking the game totally here in a few weeks when folks have all BiS corruption.

So when The Abomb is happy you are happy. Book mark this! You really are a fan of The People’s Champ and that warms The Abomb’s heart :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Actually, Abomb, I do. I think that when there is massive developer oversight and people have spent 50+ hours farming echoes to stack this it is spitting in their faces knowing there will be no compensation for this for them.

It’s pathetic on the developers end to call this a bug when this is how it has functioned since it came out in 8.3. This is an oversight by the developers and all they’re doing is taking the piss with the playerbase.

Quoted for truth, I’m still happy it’s fixed though.

I’m not. I think it’s BS.

First everyone who couldn’t get echoes now has to farm them. Now everyone who farmed them for this gets hosed. Like this is a new level of incompetence for Blizzard it really is. Two massive oversights in about 1.5 weeks time. Oversights that will probably cost the playerbase thousands of combined hours, maybe 10,000+. Imagine if you went to work and in two miraculous ‘mistakes’ (which were easily preventable and/or able to be mitigated - we knew about this eight days ago when Dark posted ‘U got HOJ?’) you just wasted players time. Let’s say everyone farming spent an average of 20 hours farming. It would only take 500 people farming these 20 hours each (doesn’t sound unreasonable) to reach 10,000 hours of time wasted. That’s over a year of time for a single person.

Maybe that’s what gets me most. I don’t find anything more insulting than flat out wasting someone’s time. It’s the biggest slap in the face. It shows a level of disrespect that whether you believe it or not, that you are of more importance than someone else. That somehow your time is more valuable than their’s. Time is finite. We are all limited in time. So when it is wasted it is a resource you cannot get back. What this was, was the developers allowing themselves to be incompetent for months and then stand up and say, “Our time is more valuable than yours.”

This is me mad. I’m furious.
