Infectious Twirl, physical harassment

Being used to Disrupt RP in Stormwind (The main RP hub) for Alliance. I would remind Blizzard - it’s against their rules as it cancels trade, cancels AH use, cancels emotes and forcibly moves your character (Disrupts RP) and makes you unable to interact with NPCs or play the game for the duration.

Why even add this

What do you want Blizzard to do?

If you’re making a suggestion for change, either use the in-game feedback feature, or post in the general forum.

The CS forum is a player help player forum. There are no GM’s, community managers or devs/qa here.

Ban players abusing it.

Already a post up on GD.

I’m sure that’s why it’s the most blue-post heavy part of the forums. Either way, players CAN help by reporting everyone doing this and opening tickets.

I’m sure.

We have SFAs in Customer Support. They don’t take bug reports or suggestions. They are not involved with account action (bans/suspensions/silences). Yes we have a lot of Blue posts here, but they don’t take reports like this.

To be perfectly frank, a full-on ban for this alone is highly unlikely - especially since it’s Blizzard’s fault for making this effect so abusable. The trolls will troll is unfortunately the world we play in, but realistically? Perhaps a silence or suspension, but unless they’re a tried and true menace, no one is getting banned.

There really isn’t, I’m afraid. Our SFAs are the only staff you’ll see posting on this forum. Because of its unique format of being one for players to assist other players, it is singular in that absolutely no feedback or suggestions are collected here. So that there is a thread up on GD is the best way to go. I also would perhaps throw one up in the Achievements forum, as that’s the best spot for collectibles like toys, mounts and all of that.

I had to step away for a bit to do some stuff around the house, but I’ll pop on here momentarily to try and do my part. That mess with toys always irks me, but apparently, even the Neural Silencer isn’t negating the effects from what I’m seeing on WoWhead. Hopefully, they’ll nip this and quickly.

It’s awfully hard to report when you don’t know who’s causing it and who is just a victim. I almost couldn’t get out of Valdrakken’s inn and I sure can’t get back in there to do the daily quest I specifically logged in for.

Are players abusing it, or just using it in a way you don’t like?

That’s when you provide feedback (in-game or general forum) suggesting a change and why. Wouldn’t be surprised if feedback on this is already flooding in.

I logged in to do the Secrets daily and was uncontrollably pingponging around the inn.

Managed to escape, mounted and went up to a higher spot to see if I could spot the culprit. Someone deliberately flew up there to spread it to me, which made me fall… fortunately I wasn’t so high it killed me.

It is most definitely being abused.

It felt more like a “we need GM attention asap” thing. In-game feedback feels too general. General forum feels too general.

This used to be a way to contact a GM for help and IMO it’s a shame that’s died. But I’m done now and hopefully the problem will be fixed Soon™.

The forum has never been used as a way to contact GM’s, nor are GM’s responsible for in-game changes.

Yet, that is the avenue to be read by those who can enact change, the devs.

Here’s hoping a change comes swiftly.

Maybe you don’t remember those days. I do. I could come here and get direct contact with a GM like Vrak, for information or even direct assistance.

I remember those days fondly, when Blizzard was a lot better at CS than they are now. It was one of their best company features and I really miss it.

But please don’t tell people the forum was never used that way when I know first-hand that it was.

Vrak is an SFA, not a GM.

Vrak would tell u the same thing weve been telling u either post in general or the ingame suggestion feature what ur asking is way beyond his scope no offense to vrak ur amazing.

I was speaking in the past tense. Vrak was a GM, regardless of what his job title is now.

PS: Muting the thread now, as this isn’t helpful.

Great! Doesn’t change how the forums work now, nor the avenues for providing feedback. Up to you.

Vrak was a GM before he became an SFA. The job duties are not the same.

As an FYI, this is NOT a toy. It’s an exploit of a buff from being able to click one of the clues at just the right moment while hearthing so thst it doesn’t interrupt the hearth and the effect can be taken back to the city.

Blizz didn’t do this on purpose. The Neural Silencer doesn’t work because it’s not a toy. It’s going to have to be a hotfix to squash an unintended action.
