Just a thought based off what I’ve been seeing during ranking; yesterday I went on a 7/10 streak where 7 of the games I joined were already in progress, and the majority of those most honor objectives had already been captured/killed. This is rather annoying because it ends up putting you in a turtled game where you’ll have to spend at least 15+ minutes finishing just to get next to no honor.
I feel like raising the Deserter buff timer to 30 min, or making it a progressive stacking buff that resets every 24 hours like 20 for the first afk, 30 for the second afk, etc. would help curve the afking plague because as of right now you can count on at least 10 people leaving per game within the first 5 minutes if it becomes a turtle which horde desperately wants(understandably). Thoughts, opinions?

Imo they should make it so honor/rep is all gained at conclusion of BG so people have incentive to remain and complete the game

The only way I would agree with that is if a game timer was added as well. That could potentially screw people who don’t have the time to sit in an hour twenty minute long bg.

thats true, its also not fair to someone who queues up for a match and gets thrown into a drawn out game where all the bonus honor is already taken and the player afkd out

On normal realms, the 15 minute deserter timer makes sense. On these horrible megaservers, you might as well make the timer an hour long.
Need way more than this. Ban every one sitting as a ghost for 2 plus minutes.
Ban everyone afking in the cave or along a ridge.
Stop with these 1 week suspension for people just afk every game over and over.

if you don’t have 1hr 20 min to play then don’t queue AV…

It would do the opposite, especially if there is an added timer at the end of the BG. If you had played any BGs recently you would see that turtles and griefing are already a thing.
Forcing people to stay or not get bonus honor encourages a turtle? Doesn’t make sense, buddy
Um no.
Forcing people to stay inside brutally long AV’s where you get barely any honor would be terrible.
If you want to sit in mid and fight without any honor for 2 hours then go ahead, but don’t punish normal people who don’t want to do that.

Why should anyone who has q’d have to go into a BG to replace someone who afk’d out after the bonus honor is gone? Literally has no affect on the game other than people giving up.
Literally happening right now because theres no penalty for leaving other than a 15 min buff which makes afk’ing optimal for honor farm after youve farmed bonus honor but game is still going on.

People barely want to sit in a 15 minute AV. What on God’s green earth makes you think people will sit for over an hour in a BG for 10k honor? All that will happen is premades going out into the world and finding bot routes to AFK farm. Actually, your lack of understanding could potentially lead to something very based!

No one wants to sit in a 1h AV, your ability comprehend the subject is abysmal. Take away honor if you afk out or add a bg timer. I wish that someday you’d be able to grasp this suggestion.
If you don’t get honor for afking out of an AV then the person filling your shoes can take the crappy honor. The fact that you think there is 10k bonus honor (not hks) from AV shows how how little you understand. People leave after a game looks doomed but all honor is farmed. Someone else is forcced to q in and take deserter buff or ride out a crappy game.
So ironic to say I don’t understand and then follow it up with a low iq comment
