Increasing Anima Rewards from Dungeons and Raid Bosses

As a currency it has no impact on character progression, yet is the only reward for doing things that are done for character progression.

I can’t save up my anima and buy a piece of content appropriate loot. Its a consolation prize for not getting loot, but TBH I’d rather have gold because at least gold I can buy reagents/repair armor etc…

They could 100% remove anima from raid/M+ and it would have the same impact as this increase - none. If they want a pretty currency for Tmog/Mount/Pet farmers great, they already have that for pets, put that in appropriate places, WQs and “non content” (regular dungeons, cosmetic quest chains, anima funnels) But feeling that anima at all is a “reward” for the people doing the content they “buffed” it for, is obtuse at best, willing ignorance at this point.

It feels like the developers have jammed their hands in their ears and sit there screaming LALALALA WE CANT HEAR YOU! While people drop subs since they can’t progress in content due to no reliable sources of equipment.

And alts, or new players. should they always be 8 weeks behind? We’ve literally already defeated sire denathrius. The lore behind the anima droubt was that lady darkvien was siphening it all into maw. After defeating them that siphen actually stops in revendreth. Progressively, anima drops should increase over time as the issues causing the doubt there improve. It makes no sense to harsly timegate alts and new players, or covenant swappers. They already have a 1-2 week grind to get renound back up, that’s enough. They shouldn’t be 8 weeks behind on covenant hall upgrades too.

The threads I am thinking about was people complaining about mythic plus. And yes I know lots of complaints about world quests too but blizzard doesn’t care about people who like playing in world content.

Wow you guys are a joke, I miss the old WoW team.

They don’t generally provide catchup mechanisms for items other than power. The intent is to allow people to do dungeons and raids.

They don’t believe there is any hardship or game play issue with people being behind in cosmetics. I sort of agree with them but that said one of the reasons I didn’t buy Shadowlands is because the expansion design made it extremely hard to play alts, especially since so much of the content I would have to repeat I didn’t care for.

They did fix torghast but that is connected to power.

No this is like complaining that a store keeps advertising that they have products in stock, and when you go there and complain that the items are not in stock they go “Oh, well here is a 20% off discount on the stuff we have in our trash bin!”

The content that they just increased anima for - almost NO ONE who is doing that content CARES ABOUT ANIMA. No one FARMS anima in M+ or Raid, I don’t even have a reason to do my weekly anymore since the top slot on my BiS soulbind is now unlocked, unless they make it so I can upgrade my covenant gear to 233ilvl with anima I have no use for it at all, and that is MOST people who raid or grind M+.

Alts are alts, they are secondary to your main character and will always be behind unless everything we do becomes account wide. Catch up mechanics are for alts and new players and we all know this happens. So if you really want account wide progress on everything then just say that. Also, Sir Denathrius is CURRENTLY being beaten, the time table has not yet moved forward for everyone. He just got released on raid finder so how about some chill and see what happens when the next story progress happens?

this change is just so pitifully inadequate its actually annoying that u think this tiny change means anything.

everything in this game requires massive amounts of anima

covenant upgrades
mog
battle pets
etc

just grinding it out on 1 toon feels awful.

attempting it on alts feels unthinkable

sigh

I can tell you 100% m+ people dont give a rear end on the anima they get but when its the only thing they get, and a laughable amount for the time they spent thats when they complain.

They added the pvp vendors last minute to the game and they could have easily done the same with m+ using the raid vendors in our covs.

They gave you the great vault thing. They weren’t going to give you that AND a PvE vendor.

ok so why does pvp have both…Oh and a way to upgrade said pvp gear?

Because they complained they want a PVP vendor. People doing mythic plus complained TOOO much gear last expansion.

I actually give you the name of at least one person who did and the reason I can is because I had a discussion with him every single time he did.

This is the equivalent of applying a band-aid to a shotgun wound.

Yeah no one ever said that, people complained how random the corruption was.

MVP poster Cyous druid complained a few times. Literally too much gearing is dropping. And it wasn’t only him, pretty sure some streamers were complaining as well.

People who chain ran mythic plus, raided a few difficulties weekly and/or did other things did get a lot of gear.

glorious. it will take even longer to delete anima tokens.

Im sorry who lol?

You know you were gear locked in BFA and could not spam m+? If you wanted and had the luck you can get far more gear in SL compared to BFA.

Wow, when I read this at first I confused the rare and epic anima items. So they’re increasing it to just 2-3 “35 anima” drops?

That’s… pretty stingy, got to say, for anyone that actually cares about anima. But I don’t, personally. I’d have figured they’d do more though.

You mean like they gave PvPers that and a PvP vendor?

Well if you don’t know the names of the MvP posters I can’t help you. Although he isn’t MvP anymore because I think he claimed conflict of interest.

what the heck are you referring to. I chain ran mythic plus and got gear. My friend that is how he always geared up fresh characters.
