I am preparing my adventures for Northrend and I would really enjoy it if I could actually see Northrend’s environment. I’ve spent a good 3 hours this morning trying to find a way to increase my view distance. I’m not talking about CAMERA distance from the character, I’m talking about VIEW distance; the distance buildings and terrains are viewed before the fog kicks in.
I have already tried many commands such as:
/console Farclip
/console groundEffectDensity
/console groundEffectDist
/console detailDoodadAlpha
/console characterAmbient
/console smallcull
/console skycloudlod
/console extShadowQuality
I have already turned up all of my graphics settings to Ultra (max).
I understand NPCs and objects such as quest nodes should not be rendered from a far distance as that would give an unfair advantage.
But I do not see how increasing view distance (decreasing fog) would hurt anything.
Could I have any assistance on how to increase my VIEW distance?
(again, not camera distance)
