oh my god we get it you get motion sickness.
Called it, near the start of Dragonflight.
Again, you are only focusing on speed and not on gameplay. In skyriding, you NEED to control your mount, or else you are going to go slow. The other option you just point in one direction and done. Being good at skyring should be rewarded with more speed.
It’s no different than Dragon Isles in size.
People “survive” just fine. You being bored by flying either way is completely irrelevant.
No. You aren’t. Don’t like it? Use dragonriding.
There. Right there is the tradeoff. Skyriding has the advantage of speed, but you need to actively maintain that speed. Vigor is a non issue at this point since I can’t remember the last time I ever ran out, but you still need to use your skills to maintain a fast speed. You can’t truly hover, and you need to pay attention. People on average are not going full speed the entire time they are in the air.
Steady flight is the opposite. You can do things like hover, and it takes zero work to stay at the same speed all the time. You go from one to max without having to pay attention, and have the perks of being able to cosplay as a helicopter while doing it. That is the trade off. You are slower, but ultimately have more control.
If you want to go quickly, use skyriding like the rest of us (though that also lets you go slowly if you want too). If you want to be lazy and just coast along, then steady flight at its current speed is there for you. Bringing them in line would negate the benefits they both offer for different situations.
Not exactly a bold and risky prediction, but fine, I’ll give you a credit point for it.
Exactly, you proved my point… I’m forced because I don’t like it rofl. you have no other options either go slow with steady or boring Dragonriding.
And here I was trying to have faith in humanity. Clearly I was wrong. The stupidity begins.
Nope. All I proved is that you want to whine about your choices and hate both of them.
sure
If you ever think of having faith in humanity, just remember this one line from MiB: A person is smart, people are dumb panicky animals and you know it.
It’s exactly what you did. Laugh all you want, but I hope it’s at yourself.
Both styles have tradeoffs. You hate both. People with disabilities don’t need to be screwed over even more and you have choices. They don’t.
Moving on.
Then slow it is if you don’t use DR
That seems like an awful solution. Pathfinder is something you get just by playing the game. Specially the pathfinder in War Within. You are basically saying “nope, sorry, if you want to go slow you are now allowed to do the story.”
Just keep it the speed it is now. Each mount fills its niche. Steady flight is slower but more precise, and skyriding is faster but less maneuverable.
Counterpoint: No
If you want zero friction, you sacrifice speed. Steady flight should be slower, not faster.
The flying where you can interact with controls to flying faster do barrel rolls etc is boring.
However the steady flight you do nothing just control direction is exciting?
lol
Ok sure … we can go with that!
The idea was more a jab at Mafic, who wants to remove pathfinder, even though it is just by playing the game, and suggest something his crowd wants, which seems to include NOT doing pathfinder and having something for those of us thaat are willing or would do it anyway.
More or less it was taking the 2 worst ideas yet and combining them to try and get the idea that the customer is not always right through some thick heads.
You’re not doing it right.
Oh, fair enough. My apologies.
Yeah, I know when my ideas are bad, I just post them to tray and get some to realize that if they get what they want, others might suffer due to the Blizzard Monkey Paw.
Skyriding max speed is 705% and you want to increase regular flying to 650%. At that point Skyriding is pointless and it seems you just want to be lazy.
Counter argument for me. Normal flying should be half the speed of Skyriding so make it 350% and be done with it.
At this point with how everyone is just whining about Skyriding and normaly flying just remove normal flying already. It’s obvious that Blizzard doesn’t want people to be normal flying at this point when there’s Skyriding.
