Coreway is not, and neither is the quest that takes you to the 1st delve. You can go up, you cant get down and ground mount without damage, a parasol, or the like.
Flightpath.
Nosedive on a dynamic mount. That takes zero buttons.
Goblin Gliders, etc.
parasol, goblin gliders, slowfall, levitate, using class abilities like heroic leap or disengage just right to aviod damage, demon hunter/drac glide. Some classes have damage reduction from falls baked in (rogues and druids I think) and, if all else fails for some, they have an immunity (paladin bubble) to pop before hitting the ground.
There are ways or most, if not all, classes to deal with fall damage, some just need to get a little creative.
Maybe more if one is going by ground and htey need to activate dynamic to mount in the way that would allow such.
For a fun event I would love to have them turn the flight speed up to ludicrous.
The irony in this statement.
I definitely misread something somewhere lol. Thought master riding was being increased to 450 lol.
if that happens, you’re doing it wrong.
DejaCharacterStats is coded, it just shows the old flight speed instead of actually calculating my flight speed from the API.
Eh… it shows the correct one (520/530%) here. Are you sure you’re reading it right?
On-topic, yes, a bump to steady flight to be on par with cruise skyriding would be cool, but I think this is the compromise for better control, and I’m ok with it.
Also, Skyriding should NOT cost vigor on takeoff. That’s the worst part of it.
Mine says 530% on steady flight. More than fast enough
I’m thinking 2500% flying speed, but when you hit something you take full damage and explode into a puff of feathers.
Skyriding max speed is 705%
Using added speeds (100% + mount speed bonus), we have:
- On DF, SR max speed is 1420%, cruise speed is ~930%.
- On not-DF it’s around 1200%, cruise being ~790%, which is a little slower than the 805% we were supposed to have due to a bug.
Even if the tooltip states 705% (Which would make the total 805%), the game applies the 15% speed debuff to non-DF zones to the total speed, not the mount speed, resulting in a lower effective cruise speed.
Nah, take the turtle option, get the turtle speed.
Let’s give players a forth options where whenever they mount up the boss get’s instantly nuked and they get all the gear.
Make it 650% at least,. 420% isn’t enough. The world is fast now. Dragonriding is so boring yet it has the advantage over steady goes to 800%.
Can’t add that, will make people throw up in their keyboards and have motion sickness.
They should slow it down, to 150% or even 100% to ensure that works for accessibility and will not affect people with disabilities
give us a 3d option for faster steady flying instead of the turtle one.
Why would Blizzard spend money to give you this when you can just switch to Skyriding?
So you want more money for working less?
It’s how Blizzard devs work, so why not?
lol i knew this would happen
I think steady flyers should just be thankful that they even have 420 flying.
Be thankful they upped the flying speed from 310% to 420%.
Make it 650% at least,. 420% isn’t enough.
In all honesty, the 420% speed increase was already more than what TBC Afking should’ve received. So no.
Dragonriding is so boring yet it has the advantage over steady goes to 800%.
You can like or dislike it all you want, calling it “boring” when you are advocating for an objectively less interactive gameplay experience is beyond belief ridiculous.
Threads like these is why any imaginary or merely perceived non-issues people have with TBC Afking should be ignored. Unless there’s an actual real issue to deal with, the idea of pandering to people who want to play less of the game shouldn’t ever happen.
