And this is bad game design. Its very common to only see one or two of those big ticket items for the entire game. Anyone who thinks otherwise is out of their damn mind.
yeah LC gets a bad rap but if you find the right guild with the right leaders, it is the best, most stress-free way to raid granted it might be harder to come by these types of leaders these days…
getting an onslaught girdle is a privilege, not a right
It’s a video game. If I clear the raid every week for a year and don’t get an item I think there’s a flaw with the video game. The simple fact is the shorter time-frame you’re getting on fresh is going to exacerbate this issue. If you can’t see that you’re an idiot. It’s exactly why I’m NOT playing fresh despite hoping for one for the last few months. This release is a let down.
Like I said before, AQ was releasing a little under a year after classic’s release. At the 1 year mark you’ll be in Naxx on fresh. Enjoy your burnout running all 4 raid tiers every reset for a year.
As a player of both this has to be cap
I mean, technically, unless you can do some crazy high M+'s you’ll never be “bis” on retail. Endless treadmill choo choo. Upgrade your items by 1 M+ tier every few weeks forever!
I think it depends what you think is hard. The actual skill required to clear Mythic raids is much higher than classic, therefore gearing is infact harder. However, in retail you can get your bis by clearing the raids weekly, in classic you may never see a BRE the entire time your guild is clearing MC.
I never left the main city and have 639 iLvl in PvP
Both are different, saying one is harder is some weird ego thing
To get “overall max BIS” yeah probably retail, but getting upgrades in general is a cake walk in retail
It might be, I guess I have had good luck with all my guilds however I am a bit selective in the guilds I raid with, I do think systems like LC really are best when your pushing progression, as the overhead doesn’t make sense for 99% of the items in older raids. With LC my guilds only ever did used it on current content, all old raids with exception of a few items like bindings or the onslaught girdle would simply be Raiders > Alts, etc, then MS>OS.
If you had a guild running Naxx and they were still doing LC in MC, without real guidelines on how the loot was distributed so alts and stuff were getting gear over raiders or people who simply weren’t performing and where it wasn’t simply a gear gap, I think that would defiantly be a red flag, and that you would want to leave. LC is also a bit more challenging for new people coming into an established raiding guild as it is a system which will tend to reward those that have been with the guild, to ensure items stay with the raid, potentially negatively impacting a new raider who might not have any real commitment to the guild.
LC is 100% the best loot system for a guild group. Assuming you can find one that isn’t corrupt. I had that guild from BWL->TOGC when roster issues finally ended our run.
Only problem with LC is the fact it enables bad actors, but I do agree it is the best loot system when ran well. It’s just difficult to find a good one.
