Once RDF came out I geared up my 3 remaining 80s to 4.5k gs. From my observation more gear needs to get funneled into fresh 80s. I really think they should add badges to dailies, or do something so people can get more gear faster. Also maybe add the Ulduar gear in regular heroics so low ilvl alts can get more gear once their queue pops.
The best method to gear up is actually to get PVP gear (Wintergrasp makes this super easy) and BoEs. I’d welcome making pve gear easier to obtain because any new player who wants to get into raiding is going to struggle, and lots of guilds are going to be losing players as they either fail to clear, or successfully clear LK.
