This change is unacceptable and needs to be fixed because it will cause many characters to be inadvertently destroyed with negligible benefit to levelers. Either fix it or split brackets again and install Behsten & Slahtz.
Twink tears are the tastiest
I’ve read this post a couple times, and still not really sure what the issue even is, I assume it effect twinks though
Experience to level is nerfed in TBC, making it easier to gain levels. The conversion from Vanilla to TBC experience was supposed to be proportional, that is if you were 50% into lvl38, you’d still be 50% into lvl38 after the conversion. Let’s assume for the sake of argument that you had 50k XP out of 100k XP to level under Vanilla rules. If the OP is to be believed, if the XP needed to level was reduced to 70k XP, then you would need to only have 35k current XP (because that’d keep you at 50%).
However, what is happening is that the game is snapshotting the raw XP you currently have. So using the above example, you’re going from 50k out of 100k to 50k out of 70k, effectively moving you from 50% into your level to 71.4% into your level.
Not really a big deal to 99% of players, but if you’re a Twink PvPer and you’re already close to the limit on leveling up out of your preferred bracket, this conversion could force you to level up based on raw experience alone.
Oh man that would be hilarious.
Blizzard undoubtedly has to fix this. As someone who has 5 twinks spread throughout brackets, this would be detrimental and I probably wouldn’t play tbc as a result.
I would be real upset if my twink hunter leveled up when I unlocked him for TBC.

Who cares about twinks? The only people that twink are ones that don’t wanna pvp on an even playing field at max lvl.
Why in the world would you pvp lower than max level if you aren’t twinked, given that bgs in classic/tbc give no exp at all and the benefit from honor marks is negligible.
Like, if you’re farming marks to buy gear at max level, it’s much faster to just farm them at max level or in a higher bracket because the games go quicker. And if you’re farming them at a low level, why are you doing it? Because it’s easier to kill/win against low level players? Seems like you agree with the twinking mentality then. If it’s because you’re farming rep/marks to buy low level pvp items, to kill things in low level bgs, seems like you’re also agreeing with the mentality and other people just do it better than you.
Quite literally, the only reason to pvp in a lower bracket is if you are twinked or for some reason enjoy getting smashed by twinks lol.
Hard to have sympathy for people who cannot pvp on at least basic level playing fields. Sucks to suck, go remake another twink.
Seems like an easy fix. Twinks just need to transfer to the classic forever servers.

That’s cool, you can enjoy pvp, the twink does too, the only difference is they’re putting in more effort to kill you (and others) and that’s why they kill you (and others)

Yeah people keep saying “even playing field” like this is retail lol. Brackets aren’t split. This isn’t an even playing field. Gear your low level toon so you’re on the even playing field
If you get shat on by a lvl 60 in full naxx gear, what are you gonna do, tell them they can’t pvp without the gear advantage? The game is designed around gear. Get gear = profit

Don’t try to use the “they just worked harder” argument on me, you’re abusing the lack of exp rewards to stomp people.
It’s like smurfing on any competitive game, and it’s bannable in literally every single one.
