My Druid is 100% Restoration 100% of the time, no other specs are setup or played. Loot specialization is always set to restoration. However I received an agility mace from the Cache of Undermined Treasures rewarded for completing the 5 timewalking dungeons.
Which item was it?
Was it best in slots? You can equip and right click it to change its stats. It can change for melee or caster
By “best in slots”, @Crimzi doesn’t mean “is it somebody’s definition of BiS?” (I got fooled by that earlier.)
It’s an actual two-handed mace called “Best-in-Slots”. It loots in an Agility/Strength melee weapon form, but if you click on the weapon in your hands or inventory, it transforms into a caster +Int form, perfect for Resto.
There is a single agility mace (Best-in-Slots) which is set for restoration’s loot spec as it has a unique on use to change to a caster weapon. If it wasn’t that, and you are absolutely certain that your loot spec was not changed by accident, you’d want to edit this post and move it into the bug report forum.
It was yes and I had no idea that the stats change
Congrats on the best weapon in the game!
It does seem especially like a Druid’s dream, perfect for all specs.
It’s junk! Equipped it and it’s stuck as agility instead of intellect. Tried logging out and back in, tried activating a different spec than going back to restoration. Nothing seems to change the stats…
Right click it to activate its on use effect.
It says so in the text on the item:
You click on it the same way you’d click on a trinket to activate it.
TY that worked!
And you would do that again if you needed to go Agi spec for some reason.
I guess some folks don’t remember Benediction/Anathema or Shadowstrike/Thunderstrike.
Or weren’t around for them
2004 was only a year ago
It sure feels like it wasn’t very long ago. I never hit level 60 during vanilla though so I never had a chance to see any of the high end gear.
