If you feel a post has violated the Forum Code of Conduct, then please report the post. In addition, you should ignore any posters who you feel are upsetting you and do NOT engage with them in any way.

You will need to remove the screenshot from your post as callouts are NOT allowed on the Forums.

People have reported it. They keep doing it. Its out of hand.

And what happens is it gets flagged, the person deletes it, then nothing is done.

Also folks have placed said people on ignore. You try to talk in there and they get thier posse to harrass folk and weaponize someone’s inappropriate behavior using thier… well.

Lets just say that they are a little too excited to be reading those things… and they trick others into posting and making the content regarding inflatables / floaties.

Reports have never been accepted here. Not for in game things, not for forum moderation. This forum also is not manned by our SFAs 24/7 - even if reports were accepted here.

Threads are moderated in the mods own times, which unfortunately does not align with how quickly folks wish they were. Bad behavior is inexcusable, but the only thing people can do is flag the posts.

We do but what can be done if the language looks fine when, the people he exposed all this to, know it is, infact, not fine language?

They are using an object… um… “excitement” to content farm people in real time. Basically tricking people into posting these things that look innocent but arent.

And you can take a guess what kind of “excitement” im talking about too. Its gross! Also we cannot confirm anyone’s ages on the forums either!

like i posted they get around all this by using code words and the been doing this for a long time now. its been unbelievably uncomfortable for myself and alot of others.

Again, all you can do is flag and move on. That is how the forums are designed to work. In a perfect world, perhaps there would be some way to elaborate why someone is flagging rather than a general category. But at this time, you can only flag it and let the moderators deal with it.

And they do, in time. Folks come here quite often to ask why their posts are being removed, so moderation does happen. It just doesn’t happen as fast as we’d like. I’m sorry.

I get that. We do… and often times the posts are restored or they are just removed with nothing else.

We ignore people best we can. We report posts best we can.

I get its all we can do but it’s kink farming in real time and its being encouraged by people in the thread. Basically an NSFW setting in a public forum that looks like its all cute.

I think it is a big thing of frustration. We ignore we report we do what we can and yet… still happens. We try to talk around the topic or change it and they bring it right back to the kink.

Turns out, this is actually not true. I thought this with a certain poster who trolls the forums too, but turns out, this assumption is actually incorrect.

Norinila, I just want to recommend a few things:

  1. I would advise against the call out, especially within the screenshot. I know how hard it is to work towards earning Trust Level 3, but any form of forum action could ruin that privilege, especially when call outs fall down as harassment.
  2. It would also be best to place the user on ignore, and to not engage further. And to report any post if you think it does violate the Forum Code of Conduct or Forum Guidelines. Yes, it can be fustrating when someone is trolling or making comments like that, but it is usually best to not engage further and report the post, as well as ignore the user.

Basically, all of us can do better to help the forums, by just reporting, and not engaging. If they want to troll the forums, then that will be on them. But don’t let them ruin your time within the forums by making a call out post, as well as letting them get to you. Just place them on ignore, and let the moderation deal with it. If you need to share a screenshot, best to cover any names.

I seriously wish we had a note box for reports on this stuff.

My thing with what I said was it just felt like nothing is done. I think thats the biggest frustration.

I know the feeling. It is hard when we can’t really see what is going on in the background, but best we can do, is just try and do the right thing that keeps our accounts within good standing.

for me pointing out this lever of harassment and underhanded trolling. so it stops because it needs to. is what i want . as a player i want everyone to be safe and respect

I agree that the trolling and harassment does need to stop. Best thing we can do is just report, and not engage. We have the 2 most powerful tools available to us as the players:

  • An ignore function
  • An a report post function

These 2 tools, are the best options that we have. Remember, people who usually troll the forums are seeking attention, and the less attention that you give them, then the more they’ll get bored and give up. We can help make the forums a better place that way, and not just for ourselves, but for everyone else.

They intentionally stink up threads to derail such if you do try to ignore them.

They have a methodology to make your life miserable even if you do put them on ignore.

They start claiming false things about the person who has them on ignore, to force a defensive response.

And what does that ‘defensive response’ accomplish? It gives the troll what they want, your attention. Ignore them. Starve the troll. If you give them what they want, they’ll never stop.

They don’t know you. You don’t know them. Why do you care what they say about you? Nobody believes them anyway. Just. Ignore. Them.
