Inactive Guild Master

I used to be the GM for my guild and was dethroned due to taking time off. I’ve returned to playing this toon. Everyone is inactive in the guild for more than a year. I am the lowest level in the guild and unable to claim GM since it’s lower than the first 3 ranks. Can I get assistance to get the GM rank back? Thanks in advance.

The rules for Guild GM are pretty solid. If you’re not the correct rank you cannot dethrone. Sorry this happened to you.

Were you the GM who originally created the guild? I ask because I’ve only ever seen a guild handed back once, and it was to the creator, not someone who was just a previous GM. And too, for future reference? You could have prevented the dethrone and left no one at a rank who could take the guild like the position you’re in. Once the guild is handed or taken over, that person is the GM and has every right to do what they want with the guild. While it’s usually pretty cut and dry that Blizzard GMs are hands-off in these cases, there are sometimes exceptions made for the creator of the guild who was dethroned.

There are no GMs here on the forum, so you would have to submit a ticket if you were the original creator of the guild. I will warn you that ticket times are a little crazy right now (about 5-7 days).

Ehh it happens. It’s not really the end of the world. I would try to recruit some fresh people but I can’t do that either. Might just pull chocks and move to another.

As Leilleath mentioned, if you were originally the guild leader, were dethroned and you are still in the guild, we may be able to help. Those tend to be the only conditions in which we may.

You’ll need to submit a ticket so a Game Master can take a look. Be sure to mention that you were originally the guild leader in your ticket.
