Also just perception in general. Like, in the eyes of a rival (shuffle duelist-elite) things are gonna be skewed so it’s important that they know they’re only seeing a piece of the picture in terms of meta, tuning, balance, whatever
He’s not dylsexic (or at least edits his posts to be largely asymptomatic), and that’s not what dyslexia looks like. Im also a psychologist, not a therapist!
It really feels like you do, because you go out of your way to comment on a majority of my posts that are genuine and add passive aggressive commentary to make it seem like they’re not genuine.
I don’t think I ever throw “unnecessary” comments about people, nor am I indirect about it. I do troll sometimes, there are also people I’m less than kind to or patient with, but that’s only to people who have a history of degrading, belittling, or rating shaming others, and I also stand by that.
I don’t believe that everyone needs to like everyone or that everyone has to get along. In general I tend to stay out of things if people glaze or hate on a particular poster, so long as there’s some kind of warrant to their claims/opinions, and I’m no exception to that rule!
I don’t know which field Nasrajin uses their psychology degree in, but it doesn’t need to be in health and counseling, they could be a forensic psychologist, in marketing or in HR, even some teachers have psychology degrees.
There are a myriad of fields where a psychology degree can be useful.
There’s definitely a lot of overlap and part of psychology almost always involves therapy. Therapy is more of a subset with a lot of overlap between counseling, psychology, and social work. The majority of what I do is assessing for learning disabilities, adhd, asd, things like that!
I’m not going to go thread by thread, but you regularly glaze swole who is the biggest rating shamer and most toxic poster we’ve ever had on the forums.
I said that there are people I’m less kind and patient with due to repeated patterns of them abusing others without cause.
Swole is one of those posters.
He flamed remi just the other day for being 2200 cr for like 4 straight comments.
Further, he also criticized two people who posted vods of their gameplay asking for a review and said they were “strange” and “weird” for making those threads.
But also, this is a historic and repeated pattern with swole. When I first came to the forums I thought he was just a guy with an unfairly bad rep. I quickly saw that that was NOT the case. Then he’d eat a ban after something exceptionally egregious, try to turn things around, be positive for a bit, and then backslide. This is probably the 4th or 5th round of that and the pattern appears to be repeating.
I’m hopeful positive swole makes a comeback and is here to stay! However, due to the fact that I’ve never seen him once admit any wrongdoing or apologize, I’m more inclined to think it’s more of the same.
Genuinely hope I’m wrong, though! Dude is a shuffle hero and could be an inspiration to the community.
I don’t think that I’m “pretty biased” overall, but I do have biases; same as everyone else.
Unless I have reason to suspect otherwise, I try to engage everyone in good faith and give posters the BOTD.
There are a couple posters who are exceptions, though, due to a history of blatant and flagrant bullying, harassment, and toxicity.
Okay, it’s totally fine if you don’t like Remi, but what you’re doing right there is exactly why people are frustrated with swole. The dude has a rap sheet a mile long of throwing strays.
I thought so at first as well, which is why I came to his defense initially and was wrong on that account.
Again, I encourage you and everyone to form your own opinions, but I also don’t think that a bully becomes a victim to sympathize with because people disagree with their actions.
