In The Spirit of #somechanges, Could the Stack Limit on Many Items be Increased?

The max stack on a lot of items are painfully low. the potions everyone carries around still only stacks to 5, and dps will be carrying a ton of potions and chugging them on cooldown basically. Larger backpacks will become a little easier to acquire with netherweave, but going past that the 18+ bags are going to be very expensive.

It’d be nice to give players a little elbow room, especially players interested in playing multiple specs. Bag space has been a struggle all classic, players opting to leave crucial key items for certain situations in the bank for that much needed bag space, only to forget to drag it out before going to the activity. Ever forget your quint in the bank? ony cloak?

Amen.

Worth mentioning this is still a struggle even in retail wow with potions. the stack size is increased to 20 there but still inconvenient. There was 1 potion that was very good and easy to mass produce in Legion, Potion of Prolonged Power. it lasted a full minute as opposed to the otherwise 20-25 seconds, got created in stacks of 10 at a time, and was very inexpensive to make, and also stacked up to 100.

Retail players are still chasing that high

I feel like they wouldn’t do that, but I’d love if they did.

Especially in the case of white items that stack to 10, having those set to 20. Would be lovely.

yeah, stacks of unsmelted ore come to mind. makes it frustrating to level mining while youre questing since it takes up s omuch space.

BC increased them from 10-20 at least.

thats good. im sure theres a lot of items that could benefit from this, but the most stand out one to me is potions.

What “spirit of QOL changes” are you referring to exactly? Not sure that’s a thing

alliance get seal of blood, belf/draenei available in prepatch, lvl 58 boost, possibly using the modern retail lfg tool in place of the old bad tbc one, so on and so forth.

you know, #somechanges

sure. have soul shards stack. no complaints from me. hunter ammo is a little more tricky since their quiver gives them attack speed.

this seems to be a reasonable ask. benefits everyone. greatly benefits anyone that has to carry some form of reagent on them for buffing, or hunter ammo.

Anytime someone appeals to “the spirit of”, grab your wallet because they’re trying to sell you something.

BAH HUMBUG get out of here with game changes besides graphics thank you

i disagree. if were not allowing any changes, not even graphics. theres nothing wrong with them. they dont negatively impact gameplay in any way like low stack size does

It does affect economy. Less bags will be made so less money for tailors. Or higher bag prices to match.

why would i make an argument against an idea i want implemented to the game.

if you think this is going to ruin the economy, you havent been playing classic at all. or havent been watching trade chat.

Higher Stacks means LESS Bag Space needed. Which means less bags to buy. Every time you double the stack its one less bag space you need.
