In shock, Ion said NO FLYING, and PATHFINDER AGAIN

It’s rep grinds are atrocious to unlock flying which Blizz has made all but necessary at some point in the game. IE Nazjatar - while beautiful - is absolute trash to walk amongst and I guarantee people couldn’t wait to fly in Naz if they wanted to continue themselves there.

Why should WoW be like every other mmorpg? All mmorpgs have their own features. At least WoW allows you to fly in game. Go and play EQ and try to fly. Unless they have added flight over the past 6 years (which I doubt) you are permanently and forever grounded to either running or ground mounted.

Your point could be in better form by eliminating the “idiot” and “genius” parts. Not necessary.

Yeah I’m looking at the Warlords of Draenor sub losses right now. It started with about 7 1/2 million Subs at the end of Mists of Pandaria. Skyrocket it up to 10 million Subs at the beginning of Warlords of Draenor then drop like a rock down to about 5.5 million subs injust maybe five months or so.

except i DID quit back then and didnt come back till a month into Legion. i didnt even get WoD PF till earlier this year.

i also quit in Cata because it was bad. the subs dropped drastically in Cata and kept going down in MoP, when there was no pathfinder. stupid argument is still stupid.

Ironically, making it easier for those playing less is part of the point of rep gating. It ensures that the guy that plays for 5 hours every day can never achieve too huge of an advantage over the guy who plays for 1-2 hours 2-3 times a week.

I don’t necessarily agree with rep gating – personally I like being able to splurge and grind through stuff in a weekend – but that’s the reasoning behind it.

I was one of those quits. Removing flying, even at max level, was too idiotic for me to stomach, especially knowing it happened because the gankers wanted flying mounts gone.

I complained, repeatedly, from 2007 on, that the game catered far too much to the PvPers–to the point that PvE suffered–and would it be too hard to split off a PvE-only version of the game so we don’t have to put up with it anymore.

I guess it was too hard.

Shoo troll, your tired, you’ve proven to be wrong on simple facts. Go stalk someone else, not responding to your incorrect feelings or remembrances.

Do you really believe flying makes it better for PVP try putting on warmode as alliance and go to najzatar or mechagon and tell me how having flying mounts makes your experience better…

I don’t think the difference is as drastic as you may be imagining. Instead of quitting due to lack of flight, most of those players will have instead quit from burning through everything at warp 10 and having “nothing to do”.

Yeah lol we basically turn into one sub… lol he gets to play during flying and i get to play during no flying XD

That didn’t happen in TBC or Wrath.

LMAO you need to look in the mirror… you remembered 1 thing better than me about purchasing flight and been using your feeling as proof while maintaing a stupid argument… keep your “win” on cold weather flight and feel happy.

Would be amusing if you could rent-a-char like that lmao.

TBC and Wrath also didn’t have ridiculously powerful and fast catchup mechanics. TBC especially had a strict progression hierarchy that kept people busy. Are you willing to return to that along with the removal of pathfinder?

There was plenty of discussion on the forums

This is unfortunately, the Blizzard of post-Mists of Pandaria.

Continuing to double-down on bad ideas for metrics.

Design an alternative progression system with the Artifact weapon, turn around and make it more RNG-dependent and require an even bigger grind and call it Azerite gear. Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, introduce a new convoluted gearing/progression system (Benthic, Essences, Corrupted) every single patch so players can never feel like they understand the actual gearing system. It’s incredibly confounding.

Pathfinder is enblematic of this phenomenon as every expansion they’ve upped what needs to be done for its completion or the length of time before it’s awarded. The goal is to make flight irrelevant so player movement agency can be tightly controlled.

Yes. The game was much better back then.

Slam and don’t let the door hit you on the…

Pathfinder is a good system to unlock flying.

Time gating because Blizzard wants to delay player activity and progress is really pathetic.
