In other news, Apple released $600 headphones

Indeed! I’ve seen the real Cult of Apple. It’s freakin’ creepy. LOL

It’s not though. iOS and Android work differently.

Have a good night, friend.

you gonna defend the weak camera on the Iphone 12 with such a weak argument like that also… The samsung s7 has 12 Megapixles just like the Iphone 12, while the latest Samsung 20 has 64 Megapixles. The Samsung S20 cost 900 while the Iphone 20 cost 800, 1000, or 1100 depending on the version.

there’s literally no reason to be buying Apple products like at all… Its a waste of money, their products are obsolete.

I’ve only met one person in the real world who seemed to be anti-apple and it was truly a hilarious conversation. He told me how expensive my iPhone was then I pointed out it cost the same as his Samsung. He pointed out how expensive my laptop was and it wasn’t any better than his windows machine.

Then I played my trump card, I pointed out he bought a Lexus. He had no idea he bought a dressed up Toyota for an extra 15k.

Hey man, I didn’t start a random forum post in Wow General about Apple. I’m not really looking to get into a which is better, because realistically, Most $500+ phones are great for what most people use them for.

Now that I’m home and eating dinner, I’m going to move on with my evening.

Hope you guys have fun going out of your way to crap on Apple on a video game forum.

Cheers. Muting this thread.

Apple products are way too much for me. Even if I can afford it, seems like I can spend my money better elsewhere

Man I’m poor af, give me for 2 on my food stamps

I wouldn’t suggest buying them, not for the price, but because of the radio waves going through your brain while wearing them. Oxidative damage can occur while wearing them.

:man_shrugging: Wouldn’t call myself a fan but it’s IMHO one of the best pair of headphones on the market, I have spent well over 3k searching for a pair that I can safely say are “good”.

You can definitely find a pair in the $300~ range but they’ll either have poor bass or too much bass and don’t blend in well; I listen to a TON of music (roughly 5-8 hrs a day) so having something that has a good balance and is light and comfortable is fairly important to me.

The MDR-Z7M2 is what fits the bill, I also have a pair of older (used to be at the time $399) MDR-1A’s and honestly at the $300 mark these are incredibly good (though some caution, the impedance is a bit abnormal on these; some audio devices won’t function correctly but most do) they make a “newer” version the MDR-1AM2 but it lacks something.

Can’t quite explain, not really an audiophile but I have tried a large variety of headphones and I generally prefer the listed Sony’s.

Other headphones / set’s I have tried:

  • Logitech G930 (These were amazingly good for a “gaming” headset)
  • Logitech UE9000 (Audio was alright, lots of noise from Bluetooth; expensive)
  • Sony MDR-1RBT (Really good though heavy heavy; sadly broke during travel)
  • Sony MDR-1A (Still a favorite, keep them in my bag as a backup)
  • Logitech G935 (Good gaming headset; audio seems to be lacking depth and fake-ish 7.1 is eh)
  • V-MODA M-100-U-Shadow (Huge disappointment, doesn’t do 24-bit audio so lots of depth lost; bass was really good though with those big drivers)
  • MDR-Z7M2 (Current, noticeable step-up from the MDR-1A; better cup design offers good noise isolation allowing me to jam in the office louder)

I don’t really do in-ear buds but I have a pair of Bluetooth TBI-PRO’s; they are… acceptable for what I spent on them and I should explore them more but I am afraid to drop lots of cash on something I only use for 3~hrs a week.

Yep I also am rocking DT 770’s 80ohm. Great phones and light weight.

I can say trades is booming so the demand is certainly there despite a pandemic for an iphone.

I will agree there are people on every side. Anyone in the south can attest to the stupid ford v chevy rivalry

Except for the fact that they’re completely wrong on the iPhone specs.

Lol @ apple sheep. Nerds.

I like the XR  maybe I’ll get the 12 in a couple of years. The boxy design is better IMO

poor people, generally low information voters and consumers

The same people who buy their earbuds that look like cigarette butts hanging out of their ears.

I got the 12 mini, upgrading from an older phone. Love the small form-factor, the screen is a good size with the square sides and the phone fits into my hand well.
