My in game navigation has quit working on only a single character. I have tired resetting my entire interface and made sure there was no add ons or anything else running. The box is check-marked in the Options/Interface. As i said only on a single toon works fine with all my other toons and resetting didnt resolve issue!

When you say resetting, do you mean that you exited the game completely, then renamed the appropriate folders (Cache, Interface, and WTF folders) to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld?

no i reset to default in that interface window
so i should rename the above folders and then log back in
I would give that a try. It means that you might lose addon settings, but if it fixes your character, then you know something was broken in your UI/Addons.
If it doesn’t help, delete the new folders the game made (with those same three names) and then re-name your old folders back.
But my money is on a UI issue.

now are you meaning navigation as moving your character around? IF yes, please check your key binds. OR navigation as in the map system isn’t work, the yes it could be UI related.

just did that and it didnt work unfortunately. really strange its only on a single character. It actually started yesterday prior to todays maintenance

no its the overlay for quests and objective locations. example my objective on the right tells me to go meet someone in fairbreeze village. Its the first step in the midnight storyline for eversong woods. there used to be a badge next to the quest i could click on and it would open map and show location on map where person was. it would have a navigation arrow on my mini map to fly that direction. There is no more badges to click on and it does not show where they are in my main map just opens my map to eversong woods but i does not have a badge or even a yellow ? on the map to fly to.
edit: should also point out its only on this one toon i have the other toons work fine!!!

Is there a check box for “show objectives” when you pull up the world map? I’ve seen it before, but not sure if it’s an add-on or default.
Another thing to try is looking in the Quest Log. Again, I have seen checkbox options, but that could also be an addon I’m remembering.

yes there is and i have even reset the entire interface in wow. Cant seem to open a ticket though just keeps sending me here to the forums to try to figure it out… This help for wow SUCKS…..
There are only certain things a GM can help with, this isn’t one. so we will do the best we can to help you. Now there is an add-on called questie, that may restore what your looking for.
Thanks for your help first. Not sure if your a blizzard employee or not just figured your a helpful player. Not even sure if blizzard monitors or helps with these forums tbh. From what i can tell questie isnt available in retail only classic from what ive seen.
A emplyee has blue text. White, green or orange text posters are just fellow players. A blue post never is guaranteed

Yes I do believe that questie stopped support for retail since retail created the in-game quest tracker.
yes and that in game quest tracker is whats broke on this toon LOL im currently questing with another toon and its working fine
Since it’s broken on one character but not another, let’s try to determine what is different between these two characters.
Are they both mage’s? Same class?
Alliance or horde?
only have one mage. all toons are horde. all the quests im doing are the same ones for the midnight quest chain. cant really think of what would be different other than class and professions. enchanting and tailoring
edit: one thing that did happen i got DC 3x in a row Sunday i think it was or Monday morning all on this toon and thats when i noticed the overlay missing!
