A lot of the new dungeons require quite a bit of interrupts. HPriest and Disc Priest not having an interrupt will be detrimental.
However, I worry that it will go beyond detrimental and cause them to be pariahs in key groups. In the same way that Demo Warlock was shunned for being the only ranged DPS without a kick. This is alarming.
I did not see demo lock having issues getting groups, since it was pretty strong. Also, it has an ability to stop a cast, just slightly longer than the other warlocks, and it isn’t as good for some ‘kick’ purposes since it is also a stun.
However, having one class of healer with no interrupt when all others have one is bananas.
Perhaps the stun was less effective in BFA, but it was there. I also remember hearing that demo had no kick until I tried it, and it had an ability that can interrupt casts, just less great.
Again, your point is still valid. priest not having kick makes priest less desireable than the other healers.
They could just make silence baseline and add a talent in the shadow tree to improve it. That way shadow stays the best at it but at least gives the others an interrupt
I’ve said it several times now. Blizzard does not understand their audience. If a class or spec is perceived to have a significant weakness they had better outperform all other specs, otherwise the community is just going to rip them apart.
I mean druid heals hasn’t had an interrupt and they are taken in groups just fine. You still have a mass dispell. Besides dps and tanks should be kicking, healers should be healing.
oh hey this means I can spec out of soothe and decurse on my bear because that’s not a tank job.
nor do I need to spec into innervate because, you know, not a tank job.
When possible, yes, especially if the comp has limited kicks. Me playing Rsham makes runs with mm/mage/warlock and especially stuff like sp a lot more relaxed.
