In 9.2.5 here's how to do Torghast

???

How was that hating on solo players?

telling people to hate everyone because they want to do torghast alone?

Boreghast

it used to be Choregast, but now its fine i think

I think you’re misreading that really badly.

ok enlighten me as to what you meant.

Do you never get frustrated with the world for any reasons? You’re positive and like to be in big crowds all the time?

Or do you occasionally say “You know what? I need to be alone for a bit.”

why do i need to want to feel isolated before doing torghast by myself? Perhaps i just enjoy it.

That’s great. Ignore step 1 then. We don’t need to make a federal case out of it.

Or I could do it how I’ve done it all expansion: by ignoring it unless I’m specifically sent there.

just sayin, some people like to do torghast alone… no need to insinuate that a person needs to “hate everyone” before soloing torghast.

I was leveling my last batch of alts through Torghast for most of 9.2 and that finish line kept me from burning out.

Finally started on Twisting Corridors and have been doing a layer a week. Turns out I now wildly outgear it, but still managed to die once on layer 5 somehow (not entirely clear what exactly happened but it was a bit of an overpull so shame on me)

Next project will be to slowly start having alts look for followers to rescue and perhaps have my main try to complete the box of many things (which feels sort of pointless since there’s really nothing my main needs there any more unless I go on a wild legendary-crafting bender).

I like doing it solo. And it was not insinuated.

Maybe its because I’m leveling tanks through it, but I found this method was worse for me. What specs are you using to level in Torghast?

how to do in 9.2.5 never do it and go do something else

I enjoy Torghast, i just wished there was some other reward now that we all have our double leggos

They oversold Torghast imo.
It is hardly random, you see the same floor layouts frequently. Especially if you spent any time rescuing companions, you probably memorized most of them.
The majority of it is killing trash mobs, with an inflated trash mob guarding a few of the floors.
Power disparity between classes makes the experience wildly different. Some classes are just super boring, or you have 1 really cool power but you might not see it doing a single wing.
Of course, as was mentioned it was not even half finished at launch. They scrapped the alpha/beta Torghast late into development for some reason. Then it took forever to actually get any rogue-lite elements added in the form of the cube.

I wanted it to be good. I hoped it would be good. I was expecting the next evolution of Horrific Visions, with choose your own difficulty and some decent rewards while you slowly increased your power in that content with passive and active skills.
Instead we got do your two runs a week for Legendary powder.
And we still can’t get a pause/resume for TC, although I may have time to actually run it now uninterrupted.

WoW needs to stop reinventing the wheel every time they get close to making it round.
Just keep polishing the darn edges until its smooth and maybe vulcanize that rubber instead of trying to make new square tires out of spaghetti or whatever.

Not an achievement hunter?

ok i don’t really care but if you’re gonna sit here and play the semantics game, here’s a definition of insinuate:

“suggest or hint (something bad or reprehensible) in an indirect and unpleasant way”

You stated that one of the pre-requisites to doing torghast alone was to “hate everyone.” This suggests that a person needs to “hate everyone” before they would want to attempt torghast alone.

Yeah I think all of thats true, but here’s a few “In their defense” responses.

  1. It being oversold. I think that’s a Marketing v. Dev issue. It’s like Sales people. They’ll always promise the moon because it’s the backend that needs to deliver.

  2. A lot of things seem scrapped late. I really want answers on this, esp. the Zovaal/Primus swap.

  3. The powers thing is a lot more fun in groups. But given the nature of Torg and it’s dissatisfaction int eh community, I think it’s easier to do solo.

get over yourself
