Important Question

Do you actually see other humans in 2-3k populated servers?

All the time

That was considered a medium/full realm back in 2008 so it’d be like it was then where most zones have a couple levelers which is likely the intended experience

I see a lot more people than people on mega servers who can’t even play the game. There is even 2 layers on my 4k pop realm. And major cities always have loads of people, always see people in the open world, plus it’s balanced server so I’m regularly fighting people I’ve fought before.

What server? I’m looking for a balanced, reasonably populated US realm

Yes, you see 2-3k other humans. What a question!

see, the issue that is on everyone’s mind about transferring is as follows: that 4k server will eventually become a 2k or 1k populated server when the hype cools down. It did in wow classic and in TBC (I had to pay for transfers on 3 characters twice during that period). Now, what happens is that the devs don’t want to make decisions to fix these issues because it’s either too costly or they have no vision. Shards and realms are a very old concept that worked back in the days but they need to come up with a solution that is adaptable for unstable flux of players nowadays. Aaaanyway. Thats my two cents and the reason why lotta people are reluctant to go to what ever new realm they offer.

I’ll see 2-3k humans at once?

every server has so many layers that its the same on every server

Yojamba oceanic so not NA sorry.

I’m on oceanic, so not as many server options so it’s not really the same I guess, but it’s been pretty similar population for atleast a year. We only really have one mega server and then our server and a normal server and one other server that I think is dead. So the mega server shills go to arugal and everyone smart enough to know they don’t need 15k+ players go to yojamba and it feels like much more of a real classic experience than a retail arcade game of classic.

You have to realize that Wrath is the most beloved expansion to date. More people played consistently than every other expansion. It won’t die down like Vanilla or TBC. This is from someone who hated Vanilla and TBC. Wrath does everything right in an MMO. I don’t want to quit, things are reasonable to grind. People love Wrath and it takes more skill than any other expansion. I won’t quit Wrath and every player I play with won’t either.

This is wishful thinking, but I hope you are right. Like I said in my previous post, there are ways to prevent this permanently by revamping the realms/shards format but I suppose the classic dev team rather not make a bad decision than try to improve the current and recurring issues.
