Why are there so many immunities in the game now? Back in the day it was hunter, pally, and mage, and they couldn’t do offensive actions while they were up. Why is the list growing, and why are there “pseudo-immunes” now?

Shaman turn into a mole. Holy early angel. Netherwalk. Tranq. Any class that flies up into the air.
Like what are we doin? Did the damage power creep become so absurd that it warrants so many panic buttons?
This was change to giga tree, they can take damage just cant be cc’d
Was wondering how this came about. Least we can scratch Tranq off the list. But it still begs the question of why more immunities are being added and why we haven’t gotten new ways to kill immunities.
Kinda necessary in the current game, damage is insane. Half the specs in the game can 50-0 someone in a global.
I agree, paladin and mage should be the only ones plus both have counterplay. Remove burrow, netherwalk, and evokers timestop
Isn’t this why they put ability templates into the game for PvP? Can the devs just not be bothered to adjust them? I remember back in Legion Serenity was like a flat 50% amp for WW, but Blizz cut it down to 18% for PvP. My current vivifies heal for like 600k-800k less in PvP than it does in borderline equivalent gear in PvE.
Templates? Like, pvp modifiers? There’s a knob in the 2 piece trinket bonus for hp and throughput.

time stop cooldown was 1.5 min when evoker came out now its 45 sec

bop bubble(removing the penalties, nerfing forbearance, and lowering the cooldown)

cloak with the bleed removal/free evasion(nerfed now)
evasion buffed to 100% dodge chance(old change tbf)

spirit of redemption being an active button instead of a death proc
formerly rdruid tranq
alter time in an indirect way
pre-removal shadowy duel in an indirect way
and if we are counting huge absorbs, then cocoon, karma, and warlock shield. not to mention dh/priest jumping up into the air when vs melee opponents. tbf many melee are ranged now.
its annoying in battlegrounds when target a becomes immune so you switch to target b who is also immune, so you switch to target c and they are immune too.
Nah. The tuning Blizz specifically does for some abilities in PvP. Not the 2pc trinket bonus. Though, the 2pc bonus would be more effective for broad spectrum damage tuning in PvP.

Peaceweaver - Group 2s Immunity
Fade
IBF - Stun immunity
Lichborne - fear, sleep, etc.
Death Charge - Immune to push backs, slows, etc.
Ancient of Lore - Immune to all CC
So many more…
Then it’s dealing with stuff like searing light. Between all the immunities, silences, and everything else, sometimes you might as well just AFK until it’s all over. That happens a lot on my sham.
Which remind me, it’s like I was trying to CC a disc the other day on my enhance.
