i honestly thought that when they released Classic we would finally get a retail WoW that wasn’t afraid to push massive cata style changes anymore.
When that hasn’t happened, well…sad noises.

my wife read this comment and is now mocking me
Weather with actual environmental effects.
Snowstorm gives the same feel of the snowy Arathi Basin. A rainstorm may make the ground harder to move with occasional un-telegraphed lightning zapping you and everybody else around you. Sandstorms with limited visibility, no flying while it lasts and unavailable map. Stuff like that.
I think weather effects would be a huge benefit to immersion. Running through Stranglethorn Vale during a hurricane or Winterspring during a blizzard (heh) would be neat.
these kinds of things are what I want when I think of a WoW 2, an engine that can handle more organic weather.
I would allow the direct X plugin that enables VR.
It would be unplayable for anything but world content but would make leveling neat.
Addon called Immersive that auto hides the UI and shows it again based on the conditions you choose. It is a insult the game does not have this built in even on a basic level to prevent the UI from causing burn in to the screen. It also is nice to sit around some where and not have your screen cluttered to take in the atmosphere.
An absolutely ludicrous amount of GPU/CPU crushing Physics Objects for the initial preparation of my retirement and permanent ascendency into World of Warcraft VR.
That doesn’t render your model, it makes your model disappear. What they want seems to be a true first-person mode like ESO where you can see your hands/weapons/shields etc.
I would like more danger in the world too. I think the current state is mainly because gear is easy to acquire and causes you to outscale enemies quickly. Tackling enemies on a fresh, poorly geared character, while hardly close to the classic experience, can still be threatening. Perhaps an option to make mobs scale harder would be good. Aside from this, there are other places where we can add immersion that doesn’t necessarily have to be the combat.
Selecting our alts for follower dungeons
Straight backs for all races
Class and/or race tattoos/war paint for all races
A lot more visible jewelry options for all races and body types
A ton more facial hair options for all races
More hair options for all races
More customization options for mechagnomes(one mech hand, half face, one eye etc)
More barbershop armor styles and colors of dracthyr(or of course ability to wear more regular transmog)
I would love that
Remove addons and 3rd party ranking sites.
Then everyone is back IN the game.
Interface cleared and you must take part in the game, listen to the music, listen to the voice cue from the bosses.
Since we know we’re going to Quel’thalas and Northrend later in the saga, I hope they stick to this idea and slowly make the old world more EPIC!

agreed. but having to be sneaky as a rogue because of dangerous mobs (as in all of them) was part of the experience for me.
one of the other wonders I experienced was when my druid first got flight form in TBC. I would fly up to the floating islands in nagrand, jump off, and be a bird. I did that for the longest time =)
changing portals to be activated by NPCs on static transports, a bit like Siren Isle. Instead of a portal room
OP wants to add more immersion… by removing immersion.
I think the biggest thing would just be more dynamic and customizable animations.
The entirety of WoW every single character of a race has acted the same for the PC, we’re all rigid clones of each other that do repetitive idle animation like we have tuorettes.
Even the generic world NPCs have more animation and diversity to it than we do, and they’re GENERIC NPC scenery… imagine the tomatoes thrown if a main actor in a play had less actual emotive capability and acting skill than say… a cardboard tree?
Something with water maybe ?
runs away very fast
Make your mount visible only to you and your party members
It’s an old meme sir, but it checks out.
