Eh, I’m not sold on this. A RL buddy I use to arena with is Multiglad R1, and easily one of the best arena Priests I have ever seen and dude lives at home with his parents.
He’s the inverse of success and a god at games.

Where am I?
Yeah being good at a game means playing a lot and that means less time for a normal career. So the only way being really good at a game will turn into financial success is if you’re good enough to be a top tier pro gamer or entertaining enough to be a successful streamer. But more often than not I think you end up in your Mom’s basement attempting to get to that point.
In reality most people who are extremely successful in their careers don’t have a lot of time for video games and thus are quite often not very good.
