I expect it would be Based on Its WarCraft 3 counterpart.
Like Every single Class we have in game already.
Core abilities lifted straight from WC3. 
It worked for every other class, Why is it suddenly a “terrible idea” now?

It was always a terrible idea which is why it doesn’t exist and why it’s mostly been taken apart and added to engineering and Mechagnomes rather than being a real class.
At least stuff like Evoker, Death Knight, Monk and Demon Hunter is cool and adds variety to the game adding Tinker would be like when they added Void Elves to Alliance and then they just became bargain bin Blood Elves on the blue side instead of the red side.

There’s nothing I want more than Tinkers as a playable class in WoW! 
I know, and It’s freakin lame.
We’ve got entire zones, questlines, dungeons and NPCs all focused around Tinkers, but we don’t have a Tinker class?

One of the Mythic Plus Dungeons in rotation right now Has a Tinker NPC as the Final Boss.
King Mechagon fights you in a custom built Mech suit.
He’s just one in a long list of Tinker NPCs.
I remember it wasn’t too long ago that people were pointing out Demon Hunter NPCs and asking for a Demon Hunter Class.

Yes I want to see the Tinker! The one Gnome in Island Expeditions that is the tankish one in that group seems to have some good ideas.

20 Years ago, When Warcraft was still an RTS series, It had Tinkers.
But no Bards.
Tinkers are actually part of WoW’s universe and History
Same thing has said about DHs since TBC.

I personally thought Demon Hunters would be lame as hell. But I wound up eating those words because they’re a lot of fun.
Tinkers would be Awesome, being able to play as a Goblin or Gnome in a mech and tank for my friends would be peak WoW.

I don’t understand what merit there is in theming a class around some of the least played races in the game. I thought it was dumb when they made a nelf/belf only class, and people actually play those races.
im pretty sure goblins are a popular pick for horde side but i dont htink anyone likes gnomes or their diaper baby cousins
I should specify that I don’t think they should be Goblins and Gnomes only. That would be dumb.
But Tinkers are the Iconic class for Goblins and Gnomes. Which is why I think it’s weird that we have those races and we don’t have their iconic class.
Like Imagine having Night Elves, but they can’t be Druids or Demon Hunters. That would be weird!
