Imagine No DMG Meters

There is one benefit of addons, and that is not weeding out the players who were not performing, but weeding out those who refused to participate.

This is weird thread. Seems to be saying that people treat other people bad because they feel empowered to do so by the numbers on their damage meter.

I tend to think that some players are just mean and will find any reason to treat other players badly.

If you’re in a PUG and the run is going fine and there is a player moaning about meter data, its the player and not the meter that is the problem.

If you’re in a PUG and wiping, you deserve a call-out if you’re not pulling your weight. If the call-out is mean-spirited once again its the player and not the meter that is the problem.

Was doing LFR on an alt and some random Warlock did 6.6k DPS on Wrathion. Somebody asked how they could do so little damage, they got told to [Edited by Blizzard]. This is in a world where we can see each others DPS. Imagine how much worse the average player would be if they couldn’t be held at least a little accountable.

Just take a look at the FF14 player base. EASILY much worse all around in group content even though the group content outside of the very top end is extremely easy. They have a parser but it’s a 3rd party app that you can’t talk about in game at all or risk getting banned. It definitely shows how absolutely little people will contribute to the group when they know nothing will be done about it.

you only need them to test (on dummies) cause every xpac it’s all jacked up move an rotation wise, plus they lag you bad so it lowers your dps anyway.

I mean… You could just be… good… at the game. And have fun.

The top end may do… because they are racing.
The Average player does not need it.
